Animal Menagerie Quilt

A baby is one of the best reasons to make a quilt! I work with Lisa at Quilt Cove. She has a baby shower coming up.

Some super cute animals on this fabric! Check out that unicorn!!!

Yak!

And check out that ribbon border she did!

With a flange sewn in there, I had to quilt the borders and the body of the quilt separately, so as not to sew over the flange.

Here you also get a peek at the flannel backing.

Great job, Lisa!!!

The Bleeding Heart and Lily of the Valley are blooming all over our yard now!

Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

  1. So fun to see that animal fabric up close. I like the smile on the camel's face! Lily of the Valley reminds me of my mom and my home; she always picked some for the table and the scent was lovely. I don't have any plants here, but sure wish I did!

  3. Hi Nancy,
This quilt is just so fun! I love that camel (I had a fondness for Caleb and his Mike, Mike, Mike), and the ostrich . . . adorable. It's a little I Spy quilt all in itself. Love the ribbon border, too. ~smile~

  4. Love those animals! They have such interesting expressions on their faces. Your quilting is very pretty and doesn't take away from those funny animals. Good job!
Your plants are beautiful. It must be nice to sit outside and do a little handwork or read.
