I-Spy

Kim made this diverse I-spy quilt for her grandson!

The quilting is "Modernish 3" in Light Tan thread.

She said her grandson kept getting bigger, so she kept adding more to his quilt. He's 6 years old now and he will no doubt find all the different squares interesting.

Her grandson loves lions, so she chose this fabric for the backing. Notice the map of Africa outlined behind the zebra.

This will bring him endless hours of imagination. Great job, Kim!

Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

  1. What a fun quilt! It took me awhile to see the "Africa" on the back, is it the giraffe pattern to the right of the zebra? I love how many little details there are in this quilt, the recipient will love it!

    1. This is a pattern called All About Me by Atkinson Designs. Thanks for the fun comments. Nancy was wonderful to work with. I love the design she suggested, much better than the meander I was thinking about.

  3. Hi Nancy,
What a fun and colorful quilt. This would be a good one for me to make for the baby-to-be. I love the popsicle fabric and the huskies - well, all of it actually. ~smile~

  5. I need to start collecting fabric for an I-Spy quilt for my #2 great grandson. He is soon turning 4 and growing too. His baby quilt isn't quite big enough any more. Great inspiration.
