Paula made this awesome quilt as a Christmas 🎁 gift for her son and daughter-in-law!
Quilt Info:
Pattern: Weave It Be by Callie Works-Leary for Bluprint
Fabrics: Boundless Ombre jelly roll
Size: 59" X 69"
Batting: Hobbs 80/20 Black
Thread: top--Glide: Black, bottom--Fabulux: Ocean Breeze variegated
Quilting: Figure 8s
Interesting Fact: I broke one of my longarm rules and used a different thread in the top and bobbin! 😯 At Paula's suggestion, I used a variegated thread in the bobbin, to add some interest to the solid black backing. I paired it with a solid black thread on top, so as not to distract from the piecing.😊
Beautiful, Paula! This will be well loved and enjoyed!
Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

Paula made a good call about the variegated thread for the back of the quilt. It looks amazing!

ReplyDeleteOh that must have been a scary sound when you broke your needle! Do you know why it happened?Never heard of Fabulux thread before, but it sure made the back pretty indeed:)

ReplyDeleteA Midnight Quilt Show quilt! I love seeing those. I love the variegated rainbow thread, it's perfect for this quilt, really adds something extra but does not take away from the fabric. Great job!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteThe figure 8s are perfect on this!
