Scrap Quilts & Projects

I discovered a box full of scraps that I had totally forgotten about since we moved into our current home 9 years ago!!! My original thought was to cut all these scraps up into 10" squares, 5" strips, 5" squares, 2 1/2" strips or 2 1/2" squares, in that order, as I usually do with scraps.
Then I ran across this video ⤵️ and changed my mind! I decided to try Tracy's method from The Sewing Channel and make a scrap quilt out of them!!!

🏆Villa Rosa Designs Blog Hop Winners!🏆

The Villa Rosa Designs Blog Hop in March was a blast!!! So fun to see all the different versions of these fast and fun patterns!!! Thank you to everyone who commented on my VRD Blog Hop!!!
I asked everyone to comment on which pattern they would like to make first. The definite top winner was Twinkle!!! A distant second was Gypsy Rose!!! Ebb Tide, Clover and 31 all came in close to each other, in that order.

Twinkle takes the most time of all five patterns, so I was surprised that it was the most popular, but it definitely has the cuteness factor!!!

Here are the winners from my blog, drawn by random generator:

Winner of the 5 VRD Blog Hop patterns: Nikki, VA

1. Winner of a quilty prize: Johnna, OH

2. Winner of a quilty prize: Nancy, CA

3. Winner of a quilty prize: Anne, TN

1. Winner of entry to grand prize drawing: Rita, NC

2. Winner of entry to grand prize drawing: Sandra, FL

3. Winner of entry to grand prize drawing: Tawnee, MT

Congrats to the winners!!! They have each been contacted. And btw, Rita, NC, won the grand prize drawing of "A Big Box of Mystery Quilt Goodies"!!!

The prize winners of all 28 blogs are listed on the Villa Rosa Designs blog, here.
The patterns can still be purchased from Villa Rosa Designs, here! They truly are FAST and FUN!!!

Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

Happy Easter!!!🐣

Happy Easter!!! The day that changed history!!! He is risen!!!

Here are some of my Easter decorations and handmades: the bunnies and wooden eggs were carved by my Dad, the decorated eggs were made by my childhood friend and next door neighbor, and I made the bunny hop mini quilt, fabric basket and felt bunny item.
Four more fabric baskets I made, and each one stuffed with a Squishmallow!!! ⤵️
And the real reason for the season, we celebrate Jesus, laying down His life for us, defeating death and giving eternal life to all who believe in Him!
Happy Easter!!!

Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy
