I'm doing the Rainbow Scrap Challenge (RSC) in 2024! June's RSC color is blue! Angela at Super Scrappy posts a new color every month.
This year I'm making butterflies from my spare stash of 5" squares! I'm using the Hope Takes Flight free pattern from Robert Kaufmann.
With this month being all shades of blue, and Japan being the country of "Blue & White", 10 of my prints were purchased in Japan, so I'm not going to ask if you have any of them! There is also, a Tula Pink print, a Decostitch, a Floral Elements, and others, 6 in all, thrown in!
My 2024 Rainbow Scrap Challenge block count:
January: Dark/Bright Greens 16 blocks
February: Red 16 blocks
March: Purple 16 blocks
April: Yellow 16 blocks
May: Pink 16 blocks
June: Blue 16 blocks
See the colors for each month and the Saturday link parties at Angela's blog: SoScrappy!!!
Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

You have such a wonderful selection of blues!
ReplyDeleteDecostitch is my current favorite blender, and I would love to have ALL the colors. Your blues are just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blocks! It will be so fun to see the finished quilt! I know it will be gorgeous! :)
ReplyDeleteI love your blocks and there are a few blues I know - from the store I worked in. They will be such a fun quilt or two at the end of the year - and we appear to be almost half way there - yikes!
ReplyDeleteI feel as though I am back in Japan. So many gorgeous fabrics all impeccably stitched together by you.
ReplyDeleteYour butterflies are gorgeous. Those prints! Can't wait to see the finished top!
ReplyDeleteIt's fun to see all your blues, Nancy! This time I can say I *wish* I had some of them in my stash. These butterflies are going to make some beautiful quilts!
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely kaleidoscope of elegant butterflies, Nancy. You have such a wonderful collection of blues . Happy quilting. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteActually, I had one of the Japanese prints you showed in a butterfly block! It's the indigo print that looks like Baptist fans, given to me by a friend who went to Japan. I used it up long ago... can't even remember the quilt that it was in. I probably gave it away since blue is not a home decor color for me. Anyway, I'm glad for you to have so many blues to use this month!
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy, your butterflies caught my eye especially beautiful in those blues. Happy Stitching from me!
ReplyDeleteGreat work on the butterfly blocks. They look wonderful!
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely butterflies! I have a similar fabric to the Baptist fan print in my stash. --TerryK@OnGoingProjects
ReplyDeleteI didn't know about Japan and blue/white. All if your butterflies are beautiful. Thank you for sharing in my Sew and Tell party.
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty blue butterflies!
ReplyDeleteAnother lovely collection.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous blues.
I made a couple of these recently from the link you provided. Made me think carefully about colours that worked well together. Always a good exercise.
So pretty, what a lovely block.
