I have 3 quilts to share with you today, made by 3 different quilters!!! In the order I quilted them...
Quilt Info #1:
Maker: Me!
Pattern: 'Lil Saga by GE Designs
Size: 13" x 39"
Batting: Quilters Dream 80/20
Thread: Glide--Apricot Blush
Interesting Info: I've had this pattern since last fall. A class for making it came up at the quilt shop recently. As a quilt shop employee, I can take all classes for free! Classes are a great way to "get around to it"!
This table runner is made from a combo of Japanese prints and Cherrywood solids!
The backing ⤵️ came from the half-price shelf at a local quilt shop. This quilt shop is only 2 years old, so they have some fabulous fresh prints on their half-price shelves!
In use!!!⤵️
Quilt Info #2:
Maker: Susan
Pattern: Weekend Retreat by Jan Shade Beach for Henry Glass & Co.
Size: 58" x 67"
Batting: Warm & Natural
Thread: Glide--Smoke
Interesting Info: Susan couldn't resist this panel, as her daughter raises chickens!!! The last kit had been sold from the quilt shop in Hutchinson, MN, so Susan bought the panel and put the quilt together herself!
These chickens have personality!!!⤴️⤵️What a perfect backing, as well as sashing: chicken wire!!!
A fun quilt for Susan's daughter!!!⤵️
Quilt Info #3:
Maker: SomethingRoseMade
Pattern: Wensleydale from Quilt Recipes by Jen Kingwell
Size: 67" x 73"
Batting: Quilters Dream 100% Cotton
Thread: Glide--Nickel
Interesting Info: Although the pattern in the book calls for machine piecing from templates, Rose made her quilt using foundation paper piecing!
Check out these blocks! With each block calling for FIVE different prints, Rose is a fabric combining genius!!!⤴️⤵️Rose used many, many Jen Kingwell prints for this Jen Kingwell pattern!!!
Rose typically quilts all her own quilts, but with this quilt being very special, a lot of thinking, fabric collecting and work, I'm sure, she entrusted it to me. What a beautiful finish!!! Look for her finished quilt to appear on Rose's blog later this month. She did give me permission to post it on my blog beforehand.
Beautiful quilts and quilt inspiration!!!
Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

I love the little saga and the organic pantograph is perfect. The lines in organic are perfect! How fun that you got to quilt Rose's quilt, the diamond dance choice is perfect as well. You are a star in your quilting choices.
ReplyDeleteLove them all. The organic lines in the runner really do look freehand!
ReplyDeleteGoodness I love all the quilts! I just added Lil Saga to my wishlist at GE! I love the fabrics, you chose well. I didn't know you worked at a quilt shop, do you also make their display quilts? LOVE the chicken quilt (I raised chickens as a child), and the wire backing is great. Her quilting choice was perfect for it. Oh my goodness, Rose's quilt is just perfection! I can't wait to read all about it. Rose's fabric choices - oh how I'd love to be able to choose like she does! You did a masterful job of quilting it.
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty quilts! There's a lot of work in Rose's quilt. You quilted all of them beautifully! Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.

Hi, this is something rosemade commenting anonymously since I can’t figure out how to comment as me and I’ve been meaning to tell you (also one of the reasons I don’t comment even though I want to but anyways. I love Lil Saga, the pattern, fabric and quilting just perfection. I like GE patterns but when you make one, that’s when I want to sew one too. You should be a GE Ambassador. I am sewing the binding today for Wensleydale and will be hand sewing it down so I can enjoy the loveliness even more. I made the right choice in having you quilt it, straight line quilting would not do it justice. Thanks again for your marvelous machine quilting!
ReplyDeleteIt’s something rosemade again, I forgot to mention that one of the bonuses of your service is that I can always count on you taking wonderful pictures of the quilt. Your deck is always the perfect setting.
ReplyDeleteAll three are just great, Nancy! I love the fun colors of your tablerunner - so bright and happy. The chickens are a hoot! And I bet Rose's quilt is fun to look at in person - all those neat prints. I wish I lived close enough to you to bring you some quilts - you do an amazing job!
ReplyDeleteGreat quilts. I LOVE the chickens! I bought a bolt of the less realistic chickens from that fabric line. :D
ReplyDeleteWell, what fun is this post! I love your table runner and it is always fun to take a class and get a new project done! I love the Organic panto....don't have one yet but now I think I need it. The panto on the chickens is perfect, too. Doesn't interfere with the designs but mimics it perfectly. And finally, Rose's quilt. So fun to have you 2 in cahoots on a quilt. Love this pantograph, too, so perfect for the Wensleydale Quilt - a real beauty - and made more beautiful by your quilting.
ReplyDeleteNice display today, Nancy. I love that 3rd one with all the prints. But the one with the chickens just makes me giggle. Their poses are so funny and the colors really made into a lovely quilt. Mind you, I grew up in the city, so not usually appeal to chickens
ReplyDeleteLove the Lil Saga runner and the fabrics you chose! The chicken quilt is so fun, and perfect for her daughter. Rose's quilt is amazing!
ReplyDeleteAll of the quilts are amazing and so different .I bet it was a joy to work on each and every one. So many fun fabrics in each. Have a great day, Nancy.
ReplyDeleteAs usual, you have done a great job in complementing the quilts with your quilting choices! All three are great, but I am loving Rose's quilt for sure! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun selection! I am in love with the organic looking panto. How cool! And the diamond quilt sure speaks of lots of patience. xo
ReplyDeleteLovely quilts, as always.
ReplyDeleteGreat design in your table runner. I like the combination of fabrics with the prints and solids. So colourful and gorgeous.
The chicken quilt is a lot of fun. I agree about the sashing and backing fabrics. Just perfect.
And I recognise the Jen Kingwell design in the third one. Love seeing all the gorgeous fabrics in that one.
Thanks for sharing.
Don't know if you know, but I studied Japanese this year for a trip to Japan in April and May. The very first thing that caught my attention in the post was the title and the kanji for three. The perfect foreshadowing for your table runner made from Japanese fabrics. I was particularly impressed with the quilting you opted to use on the chicken quilt. Perfect.
ReplyDeleteYour Japanese fabrics are very pretty with solids, I love everything with your table runner! The organic quilting is fun and perfect to let the eye traveling among these gorgeous fabrics. And it really pop on your table!
ReplyDeleteThe chicken quilt is beautiful, some of them are fun crazy chicken! Love the wire style quilting, to match with the sashings and backing.
I was gifted a Jen Kingwell's bundle some times ago, and it's fun to recognize some prints I own too. Beautiful quilt, and your quilting add just the perfect amont of volume.
I too like the "organic" pantograph quilting motif. It sure does look freehand!!! The chicken panel stitched up beautifully; but Rose's quilt with all those fabric combinations really knocked my socks off!--TerryK@OnGoingProjects
ReplyDeleteI really like Organic. I sometimes do something like that on my domestic but this would be so much easier. Great Chicken panel -- her daughter should love it.
ReplyDeleteYou choose such beautiful stitch designs. These quilts will definitely be loved by the owners.
