๐ŸผBaby Things๐Ÿผ

The best thing that happened to us in 2020 was the birth of our granddaughter!!! There are so many fun things to sew for babies. Here are a few things I made for Laurel for Christmas!

Here's Laurel wrapped up in one of the Cuddle blankets I made for her baby shower. ⤴️ DD1 reported that is her most useful blanket, and could I make another, in a darker color. YES, of course I can! Well actually, I made two:

๐Ÿ’ Christmas Swap ๐Ÿ’

My small group, Scrapbaggers, did a gift swap this year for Christmas, a 12" quilt block! Many of our members have tabletop quilt stands that hold a 12" quilt block.

Here's the "Swoon" block I made for Marcia, who had requested a Spring theme and likes raspberry colors:

"Upload Failed: Server Rejected"

Update: Gretchen @ Gretchen's Little Corner gave me a tip that worked! I signed out of Blogger, then logged back into Blogger, and I can upload photos again. Thank you, Gretchen, and everyone who offered advice!!!

In an emergency measure, we moved my mom into our home with us two weeks ago and I took a blogging vacation. This week we found a wonderful residential care home for her nearby.

I came back to my blog after two weeks, on "Blogger" platform, and have run into the following problem: when I upload a photo to a blog post, I get the following response: "Upload failed: Server rejected".

Calling all Bloggers!!! If you have experienced this problem, were you able to fix it, and how??? I have googled the problem, but can't come up with a solution that works.

A quilt blog without photos is like our world without the sun!!! ๐ŸŒž Until I can get this fixed, follow me on Instagram @graceandpeacequilting

Thank you for any help you can offer!

Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

Courage, Dear Heart ⼼ ❤️

"Courage, dear heart", said Aslan, the great lion to Lucy, in the book Voyage of the Dawn Treader, one of the books of The Chronicles of Narnia, by C.S. Lewis. They are all overtaken with fear, but with those three words, they realized there was nothing to be afraid of, and never had been.

Gudrun of GE Quilt Designs held another Quarantine QAL on August 16, 2020. Three thousand quilters quilted along on that day. Gudrun designed a new pattern called "Harmony" for the event. The block is two fabrics, wrapped together, linking arms, to represent harmony. I made 2 baby size Harmony quilts!!!

→ Arrow Point Path Quilt ←

My nephew asked if he could order and buy a quilt from me three years ago. I told him I don't typically sell quilts--my business is quilting for others. But since he's family, he just might get one from me someday. I put Andrew's quilt on my quilt resolution list for 2020, and here it is, made in his requested color of blues, in queen size!!!

㆕ Four Charity Quilts ๐ŸŽ

During this time of global pandemic,  Minnesota Quilters  is not able to meet in person, but there is still a need for charity quilts. MQ has made it easy to help by having curbside Quilting For Others pick-up and drop-off every Wednesday, from 11 to 1 PM. They have quilts in all stages to choose from--blocks to be made, squares to be sewn together into tops, and quilts to be quilted. As a longarm quilter with a newly added computer to practice with, I took home 4 quilt tops to quilt, with backs and battings.
