Interesting Info: Dorothy finished sewing this top in March and is finally reaching the finish line! She says she will be keeping this one for herself!
Dorothy chose "Sashiko" for the quilting, which adds diagonal curves and movement to the squares and rectangles of this architectural pattern. ⤴️ ⤵️
This is an awesome pattern for featuring fun prints, like these Scandinavian style fabrics Dorothy used!!! ⤵️

ReplyDeleteThat Sashiko design is a beauty. I've seen it on several quilts recently and it always catches my eye -- can look very modern or very traditional, depending on the quilt. Excellent choice for this quilt. Question: have you ever tried doing a pattern like this just inside the main part of the quilt and quilting the borders differently?
