Here are three quilts Lynn has been cooking up recently!!!
Quilt Info #1:
Maker: Lynn
Interesting Info: Lynn's co-worker is due a lot sooner than she imagined, and she needed a baby quilt quick! Koby is the perfect quick baby quilt!!! The couple don't know if it's a boy or girl, so the mom-to-be requested primary colors. Lynn hit it out of the ball park!!!Lynn chose a Dr. Seuss hot air balloon print for the back! With that in mind, we went for "Calm Clouds" for the quilting!!!⤵️
Super duper cute!!!
Quilt Info #2:
Maker: Lynn
Size: 57" x 73"
Batting: Quilters Dream 80/20
Thread: Glide--Smoke
Interesting Info: Lynn made this for the wedding anniversary of her nephew and his wife, who honeymooned in Glacier NP!
For backing, Lynn pieced this National Park posters fabric to size and added camping symbol fabrics around the edges! There are some national parks duplicates in the mini posters.
Nice colors for borders, too!!!⤵️
Quilt Info #3:
Maker: Lynn
I know Lynn loves Baptist Fan quilting. With this being a modern quilt, I quilted it with Random Fans, a modern take on Baptist Fans! ⤴️⤵️Interesting Info: Lynn makes many quilts for others, but she said this one's for her. I hope she sticks with that! Since it's a full bed sized quilt, we went with wool batting--it's lighter weight, yet warm, perfect for a bed quilt!!!
Don't we all love Zen Chic fabrics?!! According to Brigitte of Zen Chic, this fabric line, Bluish, is a modern sewing theme, including bobbins, pins, sewing patterns, scissors, hand quilting and more!⤵️ You can hear her explanation in a short video, here.
Backing is a 108" wide blue print!!!⤵️This pattern, Dina, was part of GE Designs Quickie QAL, February 13th of this year!!! So you know it's a fast one! Love the Mango Grunge Lynn added as her accent, too!!!
I've quilted 4 Dina quilts now! ⤵️
Wonderful finishes, Lynn!!!
Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

ReplyDeleteSo many great quilts! I really love the quick one for the co-worker's baby and the zen chic fabric catches my eye too. Wool quilts can only go to special people, so many she will keep it....at least that is what I think because the washing is special!
ReplyDeleteThey all look fantastic!
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful quilts. The Baptist Fan quilting design was perfect. Beautiful job by Lynn and by you, Nancy. Have an awesome day. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteWow, each one is so unique, and I love how you match your quilting with the theme ;) With the Baptist Fans, these pretty blue fabrics look like Japanese!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing with this week's TGIFF ;)
Great quilts. I particularly like the Mountain High panto for the Glacier quilt. But, did she piece all those little national parks pieces? Tell my it is fabric!
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely quilts! It's fun to hear the story behind each one. Thanks for sharing on Wednesday Wait Loss.
ReplyDeleteAll unique and lovely quilts, but I sure do like that first one - the baby quilt! You do great quilting work, and thanks for stopping by my blog post.
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely quilts by Lynn. I really like the Koby quilt for its simplicity and use of colour. Love the balloon backing.
ReplyDeleteIt is great to see all the Dina quilts together. It shows how well this design works with all fabric combinations.
Nice bllog post
