Three quilts by three quilters. I'm one of them!
Quilt Info #1:
Maker: Me!
Pattern: Ebb Tide from Villa Rosa Designs
Size: 47" x 61"
Batting: Quilters Dream 80/20
Thread: Glide--Smoke
If you participated in the Villa Rosa Designs blog hop earlier this year, you'll recognize this pattern. It's a great fat quarter quilt that features fun prints and is a useful size. The backing and back-to-front binding is flannel.
Quilt Info #2:
Maker: Susan
Size: 60" x 90"
Batting: Warm & Natural
Thread: Glide--Cleopatra
Susan made this quilt for her daughter's father-in-law. He saved up these Crown Royal bags at the cabin. Susan deconstructed the bags so she could use every inch of each bag.
Those gold crowns dancing across the quilt are so cute! Minkee backing, too.⤵️
Susan added in the gold strips of fabric for accent. This will be a memorable gift.Quilt Info #3:
Maker: Kyle
Pattern: San Julian from Villa Rosa Designs
Size: 55" x 73"
Batting: Quilters Dream 100% Cotton
Thread: Glide--Cleopatra
Another Minkee backing--great for warmth and seeing the quilting design.
This quilt is such a fun color combination--orange and teal, with all those Kaffe prints! Kyle said she bought it as a kit during a recent shop hop.
That's it for this week. Happy Thanksgiving to you all in the USA! I am thankful for all of you who read my blog, and for my clients who share their quilts here!
Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

I love your quilt, the fabrics are fabulous. I had to show my husband the Crown Royal quilt - he was amazed and so am I! Your quilting just sets it off. Back in the day we used to buy CR for parties, and we saved the bags for a long time. Wish I still had them - lol!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
I recognized the two Villa Rosa patterns right away. Susan is very clever with her Crown Royal quilt and you have the perfect quilting design for it!!!
ReplyDeleteYou have been a busy quilter, Nancy! Those are each beautiful. Happy Thanksgiving to you!
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely quilts! You did a great job of quilting them all, as usual. Thanks for sharing on Wednesday Wait Loss.
ReplyDeleteAll three quilts are great, each in a different way. Love your use of large chunks of fabric, and that you're giving it away. How nice! The Crown Royal quilt is lovely. I've seen many versions of these bags put together. Every one of them was a special gift for someone. Pretty, bright colors in the San Julian quilt. And the use of Minkee is so nice, as is the flannel you used. They're all very nice!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt patterns you gave the blankets.
ReplyDeleteI like all three... and I also have a quilt finished with K. Fassett fabrics that needs to be quilted.
I have a binding in the works at the moment... kind regards.
It was a pleasure to see your work.
Hug Viola
Wonderful quilts!!! I have used Ebb Tide in a smaller version for several baby quilts. I need to try Minky someday, just too scared of its stretchiness.
ReplyDeleteYour hiking quilt is a great design to showcase larger pieces of fabric. Lovely fabrics for a hiker!
ReplyDeleteThe minkee backing on Kyle's quilt is a gorgeous colour and works so well with her chosen fabrics.
The Crown Royal quilt is fascinating. I have to ask what Crown Royal refers to?
Lovely work in all the quilts.
Happy Thanksgiving Nancy! Your quilt is beautiful, I love the modern look of the fabrics and the quilting. The little boy is going to love it! I made some internet research about the Crown Royal bags, what a fun material for a quilt! And these little quilted crowns are adorable! Wonderful quilt by Kyle, and the Feathered Echo quilting adds a fun touch to it. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYour quilt for the boy whose family loves to hike in the mountains has perfect quilting! That Crown Royal bags made into a quilt is extra special. Again, Kyle knocked it out of the park!---TerryK@OnGoingProjects
ReplyDeleteThe panto choice for the Crown Royal could not have been better.
ReplyDeleteWonderful quilts! I love Villa Rosa designs. Your lovely quilting sets everything off beautifully.
ReplyDeleteThree great quilts. It's fun to see other renditions of the Villa Rosa designs. Yep, your crown quilting on the crown royal bags was perfect!
ReplyDeleteEbb Tide is a great pattern for showcasing a fun fabric line. I made a baby quilt with that VR pattern this fall. The Royal Crown quilt is great, and I love how you quilted the little crowns in there. I have a RC quilt planned for my husband, and the box of bags is sitting on the floor in my sewing room - waiting for inspiration.
ReplyDeleteOh, that Crown Royal quilt is fit for a king! I recognize Ebb Tide and you remind me I should try it again. And thanks for the link to the other VR pattern.
