Your baby quilts are really pretty, and the panel quilts are so cute! The Minkee backing looks great, especially with your quilting. I've never sewn with Minkee and am kind of nervous about it, afraid the Minkee will bunch up in the back while I quilt on the front. Any tips?
ReplyDeleteOh my, cuteness overload today!!
ReplyDeleteVery lovely! And as usual, awesome quilting! Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.

Such great quilts, Nancy! I love the Bento Box baby quilt, and your Ebb Tide, too. Those are really pretty fabrics. I'm always interested to see what people do with panels, too. These are fun!
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy, those are such lovely quilts!
ReplyDeleteI love your two quilts and the folded over binding is a great way to go. The quilting designs are perfect on all the quilts! I am glad you are a fan of 108" backing. I buy it alot and get two quilts and sometimes more out it. I need to settle on a minky brand that is good...have used it some and really like it.
ReplyDeleteAll the quilts today are beautiful! Thanks for the links to the patterns. :)
ReplyDeleteI recognized Ebb Tide right away. It was one I made for the Villa Rosa blog hop earlier this year. Your fabric selections show it off so well.
ReplyDeleteFour absolutely beautiful quilts! I love your Bento Box and Ebb Tide versions. Super cute panels, and your quilting is gorgeous! Thank you so much for sharing, and linking up.
ReplyDeleteThe key to the block quilt is fabric selection. Love how you didn't go with a cute baby print. Instead chose something dramatic and high contrast, perfect for newborn's eyes. You do have a way of selecting the best motifs for a quilt. The spiderweb pantograph looks like bat wings. Most appropriate.
ReplyDeleteAll are simply lovely! But that otter one is the cutest.
ReplyDeleteLove the baby quilt you made! The swirl Minky on the back is perfect, and is one I would never consider using on a quilt because of needing to domestic machine quilt it! I'd only ever have a skilled longarmer quilt Minky. You do it beautifully!
ReplyDeleteCute finishes and perfect panto choices for the quilting! That otter is super cute; but, your baby quilt and the "extras" was my favorite!--TerryK@OnGoingProjects
ReplyDeleteWhat fun that the Minkee backed quilts have Minkee binding!
ReplyDeleteAlways works of art on your blog. Ebb Tide seems like a great one for Novelty prints. Or big florals would be good too I think..Sometime, prints are too good to cut into small pieces. And some fabrice are too ugly to not cut into small pieces. Places for all..Anyway, I like Ebb Tide and Big Block Bento Box. The panel quilts are always fun too.
ReplyDeleteSuch fun quilts!
ReplyDeleteOh, what a great new baby quilt and gift set! Susan's quilts were also great (love that Otter panel!!) and really like all the pantos chosen. I more respect every day for the powers of a good long armer like you!
ReplyDeleteAs always - your quilting designs are so well chosen to enhance the quilts. Love the baby quilt you made for your friend. It will be loved!!
ReplyDeleteI love your baby gift. The quilt checks all the boxes for me. Easy and super fast! Thanks for sharing in my Sew & Tell party.
ReplyDeleteI bet those minky backings are soft. Do you pre-wash them? Do you have any problem with lint build-up while quilting them? I've been reluctant to use minky because I'm worried about damaging my long arm.
ReplyDeleteAs always, a wonderful selection of quilts. They are all special.
ReplyDeleteBut I must say that I am quite taken by your Bento Box quilt. Gorgeous fabrics and the design suits so well.
And I love that pantograph - Ba Da Bing _ on one of the other quilts. That is stunning.
Amazing quilts!
great patterns
