This quilt has a cute story: Kyle let her granddaughter pick out any quilts she wanted from her finished stack of quilts. Then her granddaughter saw this quilt in the stack of unquilted quilts and loved it!!! What's a grandma to do but get it quilted and bound for the next visit!!! I'm sure her granddaughter, who by the way is 3 years old, will be thrilled!!!
Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

ReplyDeleteThank you, Anonymous!!! Picking out the pantos is half the fun!!!
DeleteI love that you feature each quilt with information, stories, and glorious photos! Your customers definitely get their money's worth. I would be hard pressed to pick a favorite, but I do particularly love that last one. Your quilting on each one is spectacular!
ReplyDeleteFabulous job by all of you! Gotta love a minky backing, but I really love Winny!
ReplyDeleteAnother great group of quilts. I liked seeing African Storm stitched out. I have that one, but haven't used it. And I've never seen Canna Leaves. So many great designs out there, quilt patterns and quilting patterns.
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty quilts - and your quilting always adds so much! I really love the Dolley's Garden quilt. And that lilac backing print - gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYou have been working on a variety of quilts and they are all so beautiful. You always choose the perfect quilting design for each.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work on your quilts. I think the garden quilt is my favorite. Love the soft colors of it.
ReplyDeleteWonderful quilts and so different. Love Sue's Koby and the backing. Ginger Snap is so fun and adds a lot of movement to the quilt. I love the MN panel and the way African storm looks on it. Bonnie's quilt is so fun - the feedsack fabric and flower power is perfect...mimicking the patterns on the fabric. The story about Kyle's quilt is fabulous, and I am sure he granddaughter will be so pleased. Great job on these 4 beauties.
ReplyDeleteYou have quite the busy and talented family. I wish I had others close to me that could share in this crazy, fun and wicked hobby of collecting scraps!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Elana!!! Yes, my sister and cousin are both wonderful quilters!!!
DeleteGE Designs are always wonderful. Quilter Cousin Sue and. Quilter Bonnie executed them beautifully. Mountain Peak has great options for panels! Great fabric on that one Susan and Kyle’s granddaughter has a great eye. It’s a beauty! Fantastic quilting on all four of then Nancy!
ReplyDeleteFour wonderful quilts. They are all so different but all are lovely.. Such a variation in design and fabric choice.
ReplyDeleteI am thinking how lucky the couple are who will be receiving a wedding quilt.
What a wonderful grandma! That is a special group of four quilts. The tops were all great and your quilting elevated them to super! --TerryK@OnGoingProjects
ReplyDeleteSuch different quilts, but all enhanced by your quilting. Congrats to you and all the makers! xo
ReplyDeleteWow! 300 quilting designs! No wonder it seems like you use a different design every time I visit. Another wonderful batch of quilts and quilting. Do you actually quilt a top every day? It seems you must be!
ReplyDeleteNancy, beautiful work on all of these as usual! My heart skipped a beat when I read "Paul Bunyan themed fabric." Please oh please, can you help me get some of that? Like is there a local quilt shop you could give me the number to order by phone even if they aren't online? I remember road my parents taking us on road trips in Minnesota and there was someplace we stopped along the way with giant statues of Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox. I'd love to make something for my mom or for my sister with that fabric!
ReplyDeleteNevermind -- I clicked the link in your blog post and was able to find a participating quilt shop with online shopping (City Blocks in Mpls). Fingers crossed that they still have everything in stock to fill my order!
DeleteLovely quilts & quilting! Great job! The quilt with the bright yellow really caught my eye. And - seeing the Minnesota shop hop panel reminds me that I have one. In blue I think.
ReplyDeleteThe quilts are lovely. Love how you quilted each one of them so uniquely and your quilting is so incredibly beautiful.
