This year I'm making butterflies from my spare stash of 5" squares! Some are old, some are new! I'm using the Hope Takes Flight free pattern from Robert Kaufmann. Let me know if you have any of these fabrics in your collections:
January: Dark/Bright Greens 16 blocks
February: Red 16 blocks
March: Purple 16 blocks
April: Yellow 16 blocks
May: Pink 16 blocks
See the colors for each month and the Saturday link parties at Angela's blog: SoScrappy!!!

Nancy you sure are working your way through those scraps. Love seeing all these blocks come together.
ReplyDeleteYou will have a very bright quilt in flight at the end of the year, or will it be more than one quilt?
ReplyDeletePretty pink butterflies, Nancy! I didn't have much pink in my stash this year, so I had to go buy some. I do love that pink print with the colorful hearts that you have - that's a fun one!
ReplyDeleteI have a few of the Tula prints, I think. Maybe in other color ways though. I'm looking forward to seeing all your butterflies together.
ReplyDeleteI haven't participated in RSC for quite some time now, but you are tempting me. Perhaps next year? :)
ReplyDeleteThey're so pretty Nancy! I love pink and black together.
ReplyDeleteSo many pretty pinks to add to your collection. What a fun quilt they will make at the end of the year.
ReplyDeleteI love your pinks, and those simple butterflies are such neat blocks! I did not get far in my start at RSC this year. I'm so far behind I'm not going to worry about catching up, but these blocks are so tempting!
ReplyDeleteThose pink butterflies are so pretty! Can't wait to see them all together with the other colors.
ReplyDeleteYou have the entire value range of pinks from the palest blush to the darkest fuchsia. So pretty. I am in awe! My blocks count is exactly half of yours, 8 of each color so far. Are you making three quilts? Or 30? :-D Happy Sunday!
ReplyDeleteNope, my stash had none of your pinks! Your range of pink blocks is both impressive and beautiful. Making sixteen blocks each month is reducing your scrap stash at least five inches at a time. Sixteen blocks is a ton!--TerryK@OnGoingProjects
ReplyDeleteGreat use of 5" squares. You are going to have a multitude of options when you use your RSC blocks in a quilt (or three).
ReplyDeleteI keep looking at these and thinking I should be making some...one day. I really think you will have fun putting this together at the end of the year...so cheery!
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely pink collection! I love the block with little pink hearts and white jigsaw pieces! I can see those cute butterflies fly joyfully ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing these cute blocks!
What a cheerful flock of butterflies!
ReplyDeleteNancy, I just love your butterfly blocks and especially the pink ones!! Thanks for sharing with us at Monday Musings!
ReplyDeleteThey are so pretty in pink! Love these blocks Nancy!
ReplyDeleteI just realized that this year you are making the same amount of blocks for each color. Thats a first, right ;) xo
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, lovely mix of pink shades and patterns
