This was a DREAMI project, which stands for "DRop Everything And Make It"! With Valentine's Day coming up, I decided to make a new wall hanging for my Mom:
Quilt Info:
Pattern: Valentine's Table Runner by AhhhQuilting
Size: 14" X 28" (I changed the size from the original pattern, which is 12" X 42")
Quilting: Freemotion Quilting--1/4" Matchstick
Batting: Quilters Dream Poly
Thread: Superior Metallics on top, Glide White in bobbin
Fun Fact: I usually have seam lines to follow when sewing straight lines in matchstick quilting. On this quilt, I marked every 2" ahead of time with a "Hera" marker, and filled in between using the hopping foot for spacing.
This is a table runner pattern that I converted to a wall hanging, just the right size for my Mom's wall space:
I love this backing fabric! It came from the 200 yen bin at Yuzawaya, Japan. My quilt friends and I would always check out the 200 yen bin for ends of bolts that would be 50 to 100 centimeters long! That's $2USD, and 19" to 39" in length:
Here it is hanging up at my Mom's senior apartment! The residents enjoy decorating their doorways:
Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy
