Quilt❄️Minnesota: Dandy🍬Candy

This pattern is too much fun!!! This is my 4th Dandy Candy table runner, and a store sample for the upcoming Quilt Minnesota Shop Hop!
Quilt Info:
Pattern: Dandy Candy from Pieced Tree Patterns
Size: 12" X 37"
Batting: Quilters Dream--Poly
Thread: Glide--Sky
Quilting: Undulating Figure 8 Panto from Intelligent Quilting
Interesting Info: Quilt Minnesota Shop Hop runs from this Friday, July 30th through Saturday, August 21, 2021! It's a very exciting time to work at a Minnesota quilt shop as there are so many enthusiastic quilters coming in from all over the state and country!
Every year there is an exclusive Minnesota themed fabric line that is for sale, starting on the first day of the shop hop. This year's theme is a little different--winter in Minnesota! You can see all of the fabrics here. They include snowy pine trees, winter plaids, pine boughs, snowflakes, skis, lodge, sleds, snowmobiles, cardinals, chickadees, squirrels and more!
There is a fun text print, too, with words like: Minnesota Winter, Snowmobile, Red Squirrel, Land of 10,000 lakes, Norway Pine, Winter Lodge, Beautiful Cardinal, Northern Pike, Gopher State, Tree Farm, Holy Buckets!, Star of the North, Split Rock Lighthouse, Walleye, Snowshoeing, Winter Fun, Minnehaha Falls, Spirit Mountain, Sledding, Ice Fishing, etc!!!For backing I used this fun Moda Shibori print! ⤵️ I love it for its Japanese flavor!!!
For me, a super fun part of the shop hop is seeing the store samples that each shop makes, with all shops using the same fabrics. You can see a lot of them on the Quilt Minnesota Shop Hop Facebook page.
There are 52 shops in the Minnesota Quilt Shop Hop this year. Look for my table runner and pick up the pattern plus a charm pack at Quilt Cove!!!
Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

  1. I forget that you're in Minnesnowta, the Land of 10,000 Flakes! ;-). Walleye, Ice Fishing, Minnehaha -- those are terms I have not heard in a LONG time. Enjoy the shop hop. And I love that Figure 8 panto, too!

  3. I’m still deciding if I’m going this year. I haven’t finished using the fabrics I bought on the prior hops. But that’s not the point, right? There are a bunch of new shops on the hip this year and they definitely would be fun to see.

  6. This looks great. It is a prefect example to show that if you selected the right colours and fabric designs, the simplest of patterns can look amazing.

  8. Lovely table runner. How nice that there is actual sate themed fabric for the hop. I have participated in many shop hops in the past in my region, but other than the nationwide one with the license plate fabric, there has never been a state themed fabric. Maybe because I live in a small state ... but we do have a lot of quilt shops. The surrounding state shop hops have not had their own fabric either. Enjoy the shop hop! Thanks for linking up ... :) Pat

  10. I love that Moda fabric you used for backing. Your runner is very pleasing to eye and whomever chose the themed fabric for this year, kudos to them.

  12. Well aren't you the mmm-nabler extraordinaire?! I have finished the had-to-make and you know how sometimes there's that, 'okay, now what?' feeling? Well, think I may have to make this today! Thanks for linking up with DrEAMi! Also the quilting design is so cool, might have to try FMQ-ing that!
