Jan had me quilt 8 baby quilts for her! No baby on the way, but she wants them finished and ready to give generously.
Here's the first one I quilted for her, a sort of lion king panel. The quilting is "Marmalade".
The backing has bees, and coordinates with the panel!
Baby quilt #2 is actually a piece of super cute fabric, featuring Linus and his famous blankie! I used an edge-to-edge with stars called "Allegiance".
The backing is colorful dots!
Baby quilt #3 is a panel of jungle animals. I did a freehand meander over it.
The backing is a soft yellow plaid.
Baby quilt #4 has more jungle animals! This edge-to-edge design is called "Coil".
Backing features African animals!
Baby quilt #5 is another jungle panel. I quilted it with an edge-to-edge called "Modernish 3".
Backing is a solid yellow.
Baby quilt #6 was the largest one. Another panel quilt with added borders. I quilted "Fern Meander" across it.
The backing is yellow with yellow dots:
Baby quilt #7 is a panel with 15 squares and borders added. I quilted it with "Fern Meander".
The backing was pieced to get the correct size, but mainly the confetti fabric.
And last but not least, baby quilt # 8--six leaping frog squares pieced together log cabin style!!!
I quilted it with an edge-to-edge design called "Oscillating Circles"--kind of looks like water ripples on a pond!
And the backing features woodland animals.
I worked on these interspersed over two months time. Jan will be well prepared for any baby shower! Thanks for letting me quilt for you, Jan!!!
