Jody made this colorful batik quilt! Isn't it beautiful?!!
It measures 103" X 113". I loaded it the long way and it pretty much took up the entire length of my bars:
We chose "Marmalade" for the quilting:
Outdoors, getting ready for a photo:
Jody got her batik backing from Hancock's. It's a lovely golden paisley with flecks of colors:
And the final quilted beauty:
Great job, Jody!!! So colorful!

Beautiful! Batiks are always so beautiful, I've never actually seen a batik I didn't like.
ReplyDeleteMy friend made one of those. Such a simple, yet effective, quilt. And luscious in batiks!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like beautiful jewels. What a lovely quilt!

That backing is so beautiful! Great job Nancy.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt -- big quilt! You're getting to be an expert at those big quilts on the frame, Nancy! You go!
ReplyDeleteWow what a great quilt. The colors are joyous and thanks for showing the beautiful back and your quilting!
ReplyDeleteAren't you the lucky one to have a deck that you can hang the quilts from to showcase your beautiful quilting. I've been having a dialogue with the hubby about a simple clothesline; meanwhile I'm making him suffer while he holds the quilt up when I take photos. I'm becoming partial once again, after a long hiatus, of loving batiks again. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing.
ReplyDeleteIt IS beautiful. And it is simple. And it is BIG! What a fun quilt.
ReplyDeleteWhat a big, beautiful, batik quilt! Perfect choice of quilt pattern! Thank you for sharing!
