These quilts are headed overseas to wrap families of Ukraine with comfort and love! I did the quilting and binding on these four quilts!
Quilt Info:
Toppers: Cindy (2), Gwyn, Janice
Pattern: Hope from GE Designs
Size: 57" x 77"
Batting: Bosal Poly, Quilters Dream 100% Cotton
Thread: Glide--Egg Nog
Pantograph: Simply Sunflowers ⤵️ from Intelligent Quilting--my favorite pantograph for these quilts, as the sunflower is Ukraine's national flower!!!
These first two quilt tops were made by Cindy! ⤴️⤵️This lighter colored one was made by Gwyn! ⤵️
This last one was made by Janice! ⤵️
Interesting Info: Gudrun @ GE Designs is working together with Hello Cottons, using her Hope quilt pattern in blues and yellows, the Ukraine flag colors. Hello Cottons has sent 12,000+ quilts to Ukrainian refugees, so far.
The backs of Cindy's two quilts have this solid blue fabric, which I also used for the bindings. I love seeing the sunflower quilting on the solid back!!! ⤵️
Here are both of Cindy's quilts in full!!! ⤴️ ⤵️Some details of Gwyn's quilt: ⤵️
A pretty yellow butterfly backing, and yellow binding!!! ⤴️ ⤵️Gwyn's full quilt!!! ⤵️
Here are details of Janice's quilt! ⤵️
The backing is a subtle blue print! ⤵️ And navy binding! ⤴️
These quilts have been turned in to GE Designs, and are on their way to Hello Cottons, then on to comfort people overseas! You may recall, my sister and I also made a Hope For Ukraine quilt, blogged about here. They are continuing to collect quilts at GE Designs, more info here. Can you help?
Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! Every one of them! It's wonderful that you've so generously given your time to quilt and bind these. As I know, quilting can be the biggest stumbling block for many quilters, so you carrying this burden is a huge gift for everyone. I can imagine how wonderful the reaction will be when each of these is gifted. So much love here! Bless you all for your efforts.
