This is Pippa, the 12th and last quilt in the Stripology Quickies Club that I've been working on for over a year.
The pattern calls for 9 half yards or 18 fat quarters. Instead I used 35 different prints, to get the most variety.⤵️ These prints were all purchased in Japan.
The binding is a Japanese striped print that is patchwork in style.⤵️The backing is half of an IKEA duvet cover. ⤵️ My tip: buy the full/queen size duvet cover to back a throw size quilt. The full/queen size finishes at 86" x 86" before preshrinking and skimming off the serged edges.
Pippa ends the Stripology Quickies Club. I managed to make all 12 quilts, plus a table runner from the extra Lilo blocks and 2 versions of Skyler.
Here are Gudrun's 12 Stripology Quickies Club quilts. ⤵️
And here are my 12 Stripology Quickies Club quilts. ⤵️
My last 3 were made with Japanese prints so they have a similar color feel.⤴️
I may work on the Stripology Lil' Pattern Club next, which is Stripology patterns miniaturized to make 6 table runners.Five of the patterns are already released. I haven't started any of them, although I have previously made a Lil' Inga during the 2024 GE Designs Virtual Retreat. ⤵️ I'll see how time allows.
Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy
