A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...
Regina made this quilt for her grandson who will be turning 8 years old. His twin sister will get the Shopkins quilt posted on my last blog, here.
She based this quilt on a panel from the Star Wars 7 movie, featuring Rey and BB-8.
There are several Star Wars The Force Awakens companion fabrics in this quilt.
Seeing as it's STAR Wars, I quilted it with STARS. The quilting, "Allegiance", shows up best on the Grunge section of the quilt.
For the backing and binding Regina used this great plaid:
Regina turned the panel sideways, due to it's larger size, and added some extra width. The quilt finishes 62" X 77".
Great job, Regina! He's really going to love this!

ReplyDeleteYou picked the perfect quilting for this quilt! We're only a about a month away from the new Star Wars film...just sayin'! LOL As always, you do beautiful work.
ReplyDeleteNeat! This will be a great gift for a Star Wars fan!
ReplyDeleteIsn't Regina the nicest grandmother for making this quilt and the Shopkin quilts and having you quilt them. Your quilting makes them extra special; I love the Allegiance pattern--it's perfect for Star Wars.
