🎌 Dr. Who Goes To Japan 🗾

My son is a Dr. Who fan. Here's the quilt I made for him for Christmas this year:

On the design wall, being arranged and rearranged:

I got these 5 Dr. Who prints from Massdrop two years ago. I alternated them with Japanese cotton yukata fabrics I bought as sales samples at a little kimono shop in Tokyo.

Quilted with my favorite figure 8 quilting:

The extra wide backing came from Quilt Cove. I used the spare parts trimmed off the edges for binding:

The pattern is "Follow the Leader" by the Modern Quilt Studio. Finished on the 24th, quilted, bound and labeled:
On the Bonnie Hunter mystery quilt front, I've finished steps 1, 2 and 3 now. Steps 4 and 5 are cut out. "On Ringo Lake":

Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

  1. Great quilt, Nancy! I love how the two wildly different fabric origins work so well together. And the name is very clever! I'm sure you son will love it :)
