December Minikins Challenge ✅

This month I finished making the last of 12 Minikins. Sara at Sew Sweetness created these mini bag patterns as a bundle, and featured one pattern challenge per month in 2018. These are the Minikins I made this year:

The Minikins challenge for December is the Binary Pouch. Here's mine:

I used pink Grunge for the lining:

This was the most difficult Minikins of all, with 2 zippers, a magnetic fastener and a very tricky lining.

I added a tab on the far side, for something to hold onto while zipping it closed:

Make sure you check out Sara's link-up to see all the creative versions of the Binary Pouch, here.

I made a few other Minikins this month, also. The I-Spy pouch was the January challenge--go to the link-up here to see many interesting I-Spy pouches. I made the small size:

The Candy Cane Pouch was the February challenge. You'll find the link-up and many creative versions here. I made the large size:

And I made another Grab and Go Sleeve for our DD2 to use on her upcoming mission trip. She requested a handleless version for easier packing, as she will carry everything she needs for 11 months in her backpack. This will cushion her computer.

Here's the link-up for the Grab and Go Sleeve.

I'm so glad to have accomplished my goal of making all 12 Minikins this year! Thanks for following along on this Minikins journey!!!

Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

  10. I loved reading that you made one a month for a challenge. I just purchased a minkin pattern online and hope to make one a month for friends and family as well.

    Thanks for the inspiration!
