πŸ‘œ Indigo Handbag πŸ‘œ

While on our road trip, my handbag zipper was getting stuck. Back home, I started on a new one. I already had the fabrics.

The first step was to quilt the upper fabric to the Annie's Soft and Stable. The quilting doesn't show up on the indigo print, so here's a picture of the backside:

This is my third time making The Essential Tote by Around The Bobbin. See my first one here and my second one here
One thing I like about this pattern is the zipper for added security. The tail is usually tucked in--I have it out in the photo so you can see how it works:

  1. Looks fantastic! I love the Japanese looking print mixed with the ... leather? Vinyl? It looks really great!

  2. Oh, I love the prints in the fabrics! Great looking tote, Nancy. I need to make a larger handbag, and I'm waffling between patterns. Now I've added another one to the mix (do you have that pattern at the shop?)!

  3. You and Daryl and running neck and neck for Bag Queen! Is that vinyl on the bottom? It looks so professional!

    1. Vicki, the bottom part is metallic "pleather"--it makes it easy to keep the bag bottom clean!

  6. Love the bag Nancy, but of course I am a bag lady!!! I love Lisa's patterns too. I test for her now, but wasn't a tester for this bag. I do have some similar bag designs though. Love the fabric print.

  7. That pleather is great with the indigo! I love seeing the quilting and this is a fabulous bag. I have too many I don't use, but love the idea of this with the zipper!
