๐Ÿ”€ Twist & Turn 4-Patch ❐

My latest Japanese quilt finish!!!

Quilt Info:
Pattern: Twist & Turn Four-Patch, by Carolyn S. Vagts. Note: if your library supports the "Hoopla" app, this pattern is currently available for downloading there.
Size: 57" X 70"
Fabrics: Naomi Collection by Naomi Itaya
Batting: Quilters Dream Batting, Orient
Quilting: Herringbone
Thread: Glide, Black--60 weight
Interesting Fact: These reproduction cotton kimono prints are from Yuzawaya, the craft store heaven in Tokyo. Naomi Itaya is the designer, and her fabric brand is Nani Iro, which means "what color", in Japanese.

I added a faux piped binding:

We took photos in the Japanese Garden at the Minnesota Arboretum:

I pieced the back, also from the Naomi Collection:

Grace & peace!!! ~Nancy

  6. What a fabulous photo shoot, Nancy! Beautiful setting for a beautiful quilt! The Herringbone motif is really interesting. It looks like a continuous line? I would have never thought that was possible :)

    1. Thanks, Louise!! Yes, the Herringbone quilting is a continuous line! Those diagonal lines aren't so easy to do on a longarm though ๐Ÿ˜•
