◢ HST Shuffle Mini ◣

Here's my second quilt finish of 2020!!!

By the way, HST stands for
Half Square Triangle.
Quilt Info:
Pattern: HST Shuffle Mini
Size: 16 1/2" X 16 1/2"
Fabrics: Beach Road by Jen Kingwell for Moda
Backing: IKEA
Batting: Quilters Dream Batting Poly
Thread: Superior Metallics--Variegated Silver
Quilting: Freehand--Matchstick
Interesting Info: This is a free pattern with purchase of a 2 1/2" Candy Charm pack from Suppose Quilt Boutique in Preston, Idaho.

Here it is in the "webbed" stage:

It doesn't show up well in the photos, but the metallic thread and binding add a lot of interest to this quilt!

Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

  1. Oh it's beautiful! The fabrics are just stunning. At first I thought this was Natalie Barnes's fabric, now I will have to check out Beach Road. I'm thinking of trying out this style of matchstick quilting for a quilt I have, but I've never done it on a longarm before. Do you section it off and then go back and fill it, or do you just go from top to bottom, in small increments?

  4. I need to try a random HST project. I have done 2 recently that were very structured, but I love the look of yours.

  6. It's really eye catching. How do you like the metallic thread? I've never used anything other than 100% cotton and SoFine. Thank you for linking up to Put your foot down.

  11. Love the movement in this quilt. And of course, the metallic thread, which can be tricky, but so worth it. I hope it played nicely for you!
