A Throw For 🗻 Mr. & Mrs. Mountain 🗻
Quilt Info:
Maker: Nancy of Grace & Peace Quilting
Fabric: "Love Is Patient" panel by Sweetwater for Moda
Size: 57" X 64"
Backing: Sherpa
Batting: Quilters Dream Batting 80/20 Natural
Thread: Glide--Cream
Quilting: Fort
Interesting Info: I picked "Fort" edge to edge quilting because it looks like two mountain peaks side by side, and this throw is a gift for a couple whose last name is "Mountain"! Their wedding celebration got postponed, due to Covid-19. They went ahead with a small wedding and will have the party later.
Congrats, Hana & Logan!!!
Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

ReplyDeleteSweet gift! The quilting design is lovely on it. I haven't tried any backings like that yet. Minky or this Sherpa looks cozy.

ReplyDeleteAwesome quilt...your couple will
cherish it for years. Have a great day!
What a beautiful panel for a wedding! I have a plaque with that verse on it!
ReplyDeleteI love that you share all the details about your finished quilts. I would never think to use Sherpa on the back of a quilt. It looks great especially with the "Fort" design you chose. I'm sure the newlyweds will really enjoy snuggling under this quilt.
ReplyDeleteLovely wedding quilt, interesting backing! I love your quilting design choice, so related to the quilt and their owners.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing at Patchwork & Quilts linky party!
I just love this....
ReplyDeleteWow Nancy...I love this! I'm going to search for that panel cause I'm pretty sure I *need* it. And I love that you put Sherpa on the back. The happy couple is sure to love it.
ReplyDeleteGreat march of quilting design with new owners. The verses from Corinthians are an inspiration for us all, Great post, Judy
