⚓️ Hope ⚓️ Quarantine QAL 2

Quilt Info:
Maker: Nancy of Grace and Peace Quilting
Pattern: Hope by Gudrun Erla of GE Designs
Size: 38" X 38"
Batting: Franken batting
Thread: Glide--Cornflower
Quilting: Doodle Bug
Interesting Info: This one day quilt-along happened on May 3, 2020, and included 6,000 quilters! The pattern is available by donation: $35,000 was donated so far to three organizations that support those in need during the Covid-19 pandemic!

I decided to make a baby boy quilt for Jack's Basket. They request quilts approximately 36" square. A 16-block layout comes out 38" square, so that's what I made. Here is my fabric selection--some Denyse Schmidt fabrics, plus stash:

I put my top together in one day, on Monday, the day after the big QAL, due to other commitments. I quilted it using my new Quilt Path computer program on my APQS longarm. Set-up still takes some time and tinkering for me. Here's what I finally settled on, on my screen:

The fabric is very busy, but if you look carefully, you can see a Doodlebug/puppy here:

Backing is this owl fabric:

This quilt will be a Hands2Help 2020 donation to Jack's Basket, celebrating babies with Down syndrome!

Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy
