๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ A Patriotic Wreath ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

With the 4th of July around the corner, I made a patriotic wreath! This is my 3rd wreath made from 2 1/2" strips. You can find my tutorial on how to make this wreath here. These are the first two wreaths I made:
To get started on my patriotic wreath, I pulled my red, white and blue strips from my 2 1/2" strip drawer. Then came the pressing and cutting. I have some pressed strips lined up here, ready to cut them into 7" sections using my Stripology XL ruler⤵️:
After a late night of pressing, my pile of strips were ready to tie on.⤵️ I counted how many strips I used for this wreath: 331-7" strips total. That comes out to be about 56 jelly roll strips (42") total. Unless you work from stash, like I did, in which case you can use up whatever you have!
And my finished wreath on the front of our home, along with my summer Joyful Barn Star quilt!!!⤵️
I have two more wreath forms on hand and plenty of 2 1/2" strips, so we'll see what other wreaths I'll be making. Thanks for stopping by!!!

Grace & peace!!! ~Nancy

  1. Perfect! I just moved around my table runners and put some summery/patriotic ones in the kitchen. Glad we are both just in time to be ready for the 4th.

  3. Done just in time, Nancy! How long does it take you to tie the strips to the form? I have all my July quilts up, except for one which I should put on my mini quilt wall. That wreath looks great by your barn star quilt!

    1. Thanks, Wendy!!! I tied all the strips on during one Star Wars movie, and was finished before the end of the movie. This was my 3rd time to make a wreath like this, so it went together quicker than the first two.

  4. Very cute and now you can enjoy it for a while on your house instead of hiding in the drawer:0 I just hung my little patriotic quilt on the door this weekend and have my corner in the foyer all decked out too.
