I just finished one of my own quilts! I think it looks like a crayon box spill!?! What do you think?!
Quilt Info:
Pattern: Linkety Split by Nancy Rink
Fabrics: Grunge
Size: 56" X 73"
Batting: Quilters Dream 100% Cotton Request
Thread: Glide--Light Turquoise
Quilting: Geodes from Intelligent Quilting
Interesting Info: I won these Grunge fat quarters from my small group's Resolution Quilts drawing for 2019. I won one grouping of 14 FQs. This pattern calls for 18 fat quarters, so I added 4 more that I had on hand.
I quilted a Linkety Split for Quilter Bonnie in 2019. Hers is made from a nicely coordinated kit of Grunge, with a navy border. You can see Quilter Bonnie's here.
I pieced the back from some Grunge yardage I had on hand:⤵️
This is my 5th Resolution Quilt finish, out of 13 quilts I listed that I'd like to make in 2021!
Because I'm giving this throw to a charity, I started a miniature Linkety Split to keep for myself, so be watching for that in a future blog post!
Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

Wow! It's gorgeous! What a great pattern for scrappy goodness. I really like it with the grey. Beautiful quilting design selected for it too. Nice job.
ReplyDeleteThe colors look so rich in this quilt. I too like it with the grey. I like the varying sizes and shapes of the quilting pattern. So generous of you as always to gift this to charity.
ReplyDeleteQuilter Bonnie
Very interesting block design. Love the color collection with the grays. Great job!
ReplyDeleteLove this! Yes, it looks like crayons coming out of the box, full of possibility!
ReplyDeleteNancy it's just beautiful! I love the placement of the colors and the colors themselves are so attractive with the gray. Yay for you starting on one for yourself!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great quilt finish! Your quilting design really works well with it, too. I look forward to seeing your mini. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is a colorful, fun quilt, Nancy! Looking forward to seeing the one you will keep for yourself!
ReplyDeleteLove it! I love everything about it..the pattern, the fabs, the quilting. All so pretty. Nancy Rink has some really great patterns. Job well done and someone's gonna love it.
ReplyDeleteIt was fun to compare your quilt and your sister's ... Both are made with the same fabric line, but the gray in yours makes the colorful palette more gender neutral. (I find it so hard to make projects that read more gender neutral!) Both quilting designs are lovely and complement each project nicely. Beautiful, as always, Nancy!
ReplyDeleteThis is NICE!!!! The colors are so pretty - and the Grey(gray) accentuates them so much!! Good for you!!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome looking quilt!
ReplyDeleteWow, simply gorgeous! I love the quilt pattern, the quilting, and your fabric choices. Thanks for sharing info about the patterns so others can find them. I will be saving that info so I might make something similar in the future.
ReplyDeleteWhat? We are all of 42 days into 2021 and you've finished 5 quilts already? That is a fun design and looks good in grunge. And I really like the quilting design. Another design is being added to my someday list! Great job.
ReplyDeleteIt's so beautiful! It looks kind of like a puzzle in a way. Congratulations on 5 quilts already this year ... impressive!

ReplyDeleteVery pretty! Now that you mention it, it does look like a box of crayons.
ReplyDeleteooo I think it looks great. I love all the color!
ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous in the grunge fabrics. I do look forward to the mini but this one is enough eye candy for one day!
ReplyDeleteI am late in reading these blog posts! But I concur..... it’s fabulous!
ReplyDeleteWow that looks like a great pattern for all the solids I've been saving (hoarding!)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing! Stay safe and sew on !
Second try to leave a comment. Yes, it does look like a box of spilled crayons. Such bright and happy colors. And your beautiful quilting brings it to perfection.
ReplyDeleteSuch a bright and beautiful quilt! Like a crayon box spill indeed ;) Pretty spiral and circle quilting design. Your mini version is going to be as fabulous as this one, for sure ;)
ReplyDeleteLove the way the fabrics work together in this quilt. It's a fun pattern. Great quilting, too.
ReplyDeleteI especially like the colourful strip and the bottom.
Fabulous fabrics in a neat design! I like that quilting motif too. What a beautiful comfort quilt.
