Hey June! ㋅ QAL

Gudrun @ GE Designs held another quilt-along on Saturday, June 26th! This was her 7th QAL since the pandemic closedown in March, 2020!!! Gudrun is the QAL queen!!!
Quilt Info:
Pattern: Hey June! by Gudrun Erla of GE Designs
Fabrics: Japanese prints from Yuzawaya Store in Tokyo
Size: 52" X 76"
Batting: Quilters Dream--100% Cotton, Select
Thread: Glide--Denim
Quilting: Baptist Diamonds from Julie Hirt
This quilting design, Baptist Diamonds, replicates a popular sashiko pattern used in Japan.⤴️⤵️
Interesting Info: Gudrun made this pattern free for 24 hours before the QAL started! Honestly, this quilt along was better than a class or retreat because we didn't have to drag our sewing machines and all the necessary tools and fabrics to an unfamiliar place--we could sew right in the comfort of our own studio! Plus we had five live classes with Gudrun, including her quilt guests and interaction with thousands of other quilters who were sewing along!!!
Gudrun reported that 10,000 quilters downloaded her pattern during the 24 hour free time, from 34 different countries, 12 provinces and territories of Canada and all 50 states in the USA. There were as many as 4,000 watching live during her five "classes" that day.
All of my fabrics are from Yuzawaya Fabric Store in Kichijoji, Tokyo, Japan.
The binding fabric is from Japan, also.⤵️ I buy my labels from Dutch Label Shop.
You can see *450* different Hey June! versions on Gudrun's YouTube video from July 6, 2021, starting at 8 minutes, 30 seconds, link here!!!

Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy
