Lynn made two more quilts for a couple of lucky brothers!!!
Quilt Info:
Maker: Lynn
Size: 65" X 92"
Thread: Glide--Lead Grey
Batting: Quilters Dream 80/20
Quilting: Chevrons 1 ⤵️ from Karlee Porter
Interesting Info: Lynn made this same truck quilt design, with some alterations, for another boy recently--link to that blog post here. She gifted it to him over the Easter holidays and reports it was a total hit!!! They especially loved the rainbow ombre backing on that quilt, which became their beach in the tropics!!!
I love how "Chevrons 1" quilting looks like tire tread marks!!! ⤵️The extra-wide backing on this reminds me of heavy-duty tires!!! ⤵️
Here's the second quilt that Lynn designed herself using some panels and coordinating prints!!! ⤵️

A little more of that extra-wide ombre went into the back of this one! ⤵️
"Squiggle Wiggle" quilting is another great quilting option for a car/vehicle quilt!!! ⤵️

Oh gosh they are both just the cutest! I really like that ombre backing too. As always you picked the perfect quilting design to go with them.
ReplyDeleteThose are both adorable! I agree with Vicki, that ombre backing is perfect.
ReplyDeleteCute quilts! You always know the best quilt designs for them, too!
ReplyDeleteVery handsome quilts. I can imagine the smiles on the faces on these slim and tall guys :-)
ReplyDeletePanels are always appropriate for children, and these are nicely done. They're both a good collaboration between the topper and you, the quilter.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun quilts!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy! Gosh, those two truck quilts are so darn cute. I love how you quilted them. I have a couple of young boys who would love to receive one of these - I am 100% certain they will be well-loved. They already look so nice and soft and squishy, and we all know that improves with age! Thanks so much for linking up for TGIFF. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
ReplyDeleteBoth quilts are so charming! I love these quilting designs, very "carly" or "vehicly" ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your work, and linking up!
Two wonderful quilts and so perfect for boys. Fun designs.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure the lucky brothers will love these! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat job Nancy and Lynn. Those are 2 lucky boys! Great quilts and quilting. So much fun!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this post with me. I missed it first time round. I need to write down the sizes you mentioned. I generally have smaller quilts so I’ll need to pay attention to the size. I actually have another quilt ready to go and this might be the perfect pattern for it.
