The Rainbow Scrap Challenge (RSC) color for April is pink!!! Here are my blocks:
I'm making blocks from the pattern Scrap Happy Rainbow Connection by Amy Smart! You can find it in Love Patchwork & Quilting magazine, Issue 85 ⤵️, too!!!
My blocks are 12" unfinished, 11 1/2" finished!!! Here are a few of my blocks, because we all love examining the prints in scrap quilts!!! The background is Grunge! ⤵️
I'm working through my scrap strip basket, making as many blocks as I can for the color of each month. I was able to make 18 blocks this month!!! Here's my count so far:
January: Red 9 blocks
February: Teal/Aqua 21 blocks
March: Yellow/Gold 16 blocks
April: Pink 18 blocks
Not the final layout!!! ⤵️ These will make several quilts--check back at the end of the year to see how I mix them up!
Check out all the Rainbow Scrap Challenge projects at Scrap Happy Saturday!!!
Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

You've got some really fun scraps in those blocks. A doggy, bricks, shoes and more. What a fun RSC block. Happy stitching this weekend.
ReplyDeleteNancy I love the scrappiness. Those pink poodles are my favorite. This will make someone very happy!
ReplyDeleteOh, I do love a scrappy quilt and these pink blocks are great!
ReplyDeleteAgree with the others! That is a great scrap buster pattern! I love looking at everyone’s fabric selection at RSC22
ReplyDeleteCan't it be December already? I so want to know how you will mix them ;))
ReplyDeleteWow, you've been making a great number of blocks each month. The pink blocks look wonderful and it will be fun to see how many quilts you make and how they all come together at the end of the year.
ReplyDeleteThose blocks are so pretty, and it will be fun to see how these blocks finish into a quilt. Thanks for linking up to TGIFF!
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous! You have so many blocks. IT will be fun to see how many quilts you get at the end of the year.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the close-up photos! I love all your novelty prints. Can't wait to see how the quilts come out!
ReplyDeleteSEW many fun PINK scraps in your new blocks, Nancy!! Looking forward to seeing your collection grow.
ReplyDeleteI really love how these blocks look! I just may have to play with this design as a change from the traditional string blocks.
ReplyDeleteI think I need to go shopping, I don't have a single pink fabric in you blocks =). They are looking lovely up on the wall. What fun quilts they will make.
ReplyDeleteLovely pink blocks, and I can spot some Japanese beautiful prints. I think I have the same fabric with little bricks, on the 4th block, that looks like a roof, or a wall. Love it!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing, and linking up ;)
Love, love, love. Every month when I see your blocks I have to hold myself back from pulling out Amy's pattern & starting my own! I just can't do another start this year. I'll drown! But I'm loving your blocks!!!!
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are so beautiful! I'm feeling the pull of another new project, but trying to resist! I will definitely keep this pattern in mind next time I want to use strings.
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely fun to see all those pink scraps up close! I love the rainbow layout in the pattern, but the layout with just red, aqua, yellow, and pink is really pretty, too.
ReplyDeleteClose-ups? Yes please! I even have or have had a few of those myself. So fun! I love your string blocks and can tell that you’re my kind of string piecer!
ReplyDeleteThese Pink blocks are so cute and happy, Nancy. You will make beautiful quilts with them.
ReplyDeleteI do love looking at the fun prints
ReplyDeleteThis is a really fun RSC block! Can't wait to see how you lay them out at the end of the year.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat blocks! I can't wait to see how you decide to put them all together.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun blocks!!Its cool to look at them up close and see what fabrics you have!! I love them all!
ReplyDeleteThese quilts are going to be amazing. Thanks for sharing your blocks with Oh Scrap!
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely collection of pinks. They look so good together.
ReplyDeleteTotally loving this RSC quilt! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYou sure have lots of pink scraps! I couldn't come up with enough to make even one block such as yours. You're collecting quite an array of colors, and will surely have lots of layout options at year's end. And doesn't Grunge go with many things? It's a nice go-to when a quilter wants something other than a solid. Keep up the lovely work!
ReplyDeleteLooking great! Loving the colours :)
