Welcome to Orange, the Rainbow Scrap Challenge color for August!!! Angela over at SuperScrappy posted the August color two weeks ago, so I got a jump start on it!
The pattern is "Scrap Happy Rainbow Connection" from Amy Smart, on her website, or from "Love Patchwork & Quilting" magazine, Issue 85, where I first saw it. ⤵️
January: Red 9 blocks
February: Aqua/Teal 21 blocks
March: Yellow/Gold 16 blocks
April: Pink 18 blocks

I have enough for 3+ throw size quilts now. I'll put them together at the end of the year.

ReplyDeleteOh, I love all those oranges!
ReplyDeleteSo bright and cheerful! Now I am thinking of this pattern.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great design to use up your strips and scraps. Your blocks glow with shades of orange.
ReplyDeleteThat is so beautiful. I have recently found RSC and love what you have done.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty in orange! Isn't it fun to add some brights after working with darker colors for a few months?
ReplyDeleteThose oranges are great! What fun it will be to see them all together. I might hop in again in September!
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely way to feature pretty fabrics! Your new orange blocks are lovely, and it's great to have plenty of blocks to arrange them as you wish, into 3 quilts ๐๐
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing ❤️
I love your orange blocks, Nancy, but then I'm quite partial to the color orange. You should see the 22 foot-long tangerine-color wall in my livingroom! I like how you've alternated fabric strips, using a multi-print next to a tone-on-tone. Make the block "read" well. You sure have quite the collection of blocks now. Gosh, when the time comes, you'll have fun putting quilt tops together!
ReplyDeleteA wonderful quilt design being created here, Nancy.
ReplyDeleteAll the oranges in those blocks... amazing!
ReplyDeletesuch a pretty display of your scraps!

ReplyDeletelove love this pattern! such a great use of strips and strings!
ReplyDeleteYou did great with your orange scraps. So many blocks done each month, it's incredible! I'm glad you answered my question because I was wondering how many quilts will you be able to make with all these blocks. That's awesome! Looking forward to seeing them in the top stage. Enjoy! ;^)
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful blocks! Smart move to alternate prints with tone and tone because your blocks sparkle! I look forward to seeing what blocks you choose to pair together.--TerryK@OnGoingProjects
ReplyDeleteLook at you go!!! Those are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteGreat mix of ORANGE scraps, Nancy!!
ReplyDeleteYou are really going to town with these blocks, all so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI can tell you're enjoying these blocks a LOT!!! I spy candy corn. I love candy corn and it brings to mind that Autumn is not that far off. Too bad the heat continues to remind so many of us that it is definitely still summer! Ha!
ReplyDeleteThis sure has been a fun project. And I love looking at all the fabrics.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, Nancy. These oranges are so yummy. I noticed what you did there. Quietly added a bit of yellow and coral...no worries. Your secret is safe with me :-D
ReplyDeleteThis is really a great idea! And such a beautiful result. I think I need to join in next year.
ReplyDeleteThese blocks are just fabulous! I love the quilt pattern Pinning for future reference.

it is amazing how many blocks you finish each month - and that mostly from scraps! If you keep at it like this I am betting it will be more like four or five quilts at the end of the year ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy, There sure are a lot of scrap happy rainbow blocks being made. Yours are beautiful. I am enjoying seeing your quilt progress.
ReplyDeleteGreat selection for your orange fabrics. So good to see them all together. (Karen, Sunburnt Quilts.)
