We quilters love quilt parties! Cheryl @ MeadowMistDesigns is having a year end quilt link party, her 8th year hosting the Best 5 Blog Posts of the Year!
Here are my top 5 favorite blog posts of the year, in chronological order:
1. Strippy Stairways 📶: A blog post where I give a glowing review of GE Designs' virtual retreat, March, 2022! I show the first of 2 quilts and numerous table runners I finished from the retreat. It was a real "treat"!!!
I'm registered for the GE Designs' 2023 virtual retreat!!! You'll find all the info, and 13 different fabric choices here!!!
2. ⬒ Topsy Turvy ⬓: Preeti@SewPreetiQuilts asked me and 5 other quilt bloggers to test her Topsy Turvy quilt pattern! It is a jelly roll friendly pattern and so much fun to make!!!
3. What the Judge 👩🏼⚖️ Said: All about the 14 quilts and needlecraft items I entered in our local county fair and the judges' comments about each one. One judge was super chatty this year, so there are a lot of interesting comments!!! Plus one table runner judged by the back!?!
4. I-Spy 🔍 JOEE Quilts: JOEE stand for "Joyful Opportunity English Education", a non-profit in Japan that teaches English to children in Japan's orphanages using drama, puppets, music, storytelling, and quilts!!!
5. Lucy Boston Day: Lucy Boston was such an original quilter and person--this post is all about her life and crafts! This blog also features my last of 8 Tama Quilters bee quilts from my friends in Japan that I finished in 2022--see all 8 quilts here!!!
💮
This stamp ⤴️ is used by teachers in schools all over Japan!! In Japanese: "Taihen yoku dekimashita". Translation: "Job well done"!!! I want to give that stamp to each quilter!!! Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy
