Gudrun @ GE Designs recently introduced virtual classes! Her first class is a set of 2 quilts that can be made from one half-yard bundle of fabrics. Here are my quilts from class!!!
Pattern: Katrina from GE Designs
Fabrics: Sashiko by Whistler Studios for Windham Fabrics
Size: 56" x 72"
Batting: Quilters Dream Cotton
Thread: Glide--Sky
Pantograph: Jessica's Vidalia ⤵️ from Urban Elementz
Here's a close-up of the quilting.⤵️ The prints are all so busy that it's difficult to capture the quilting motif.
Interesting Info: The off-white backgrounds are an assortment of traditional Japanese fabrics bought in Japan!!! Below are close-ups of some of the sashiko prints and Japanese background prints.⤵️
The quilting doesn't show up much on the front, but it looks great from the back!!!⤵️ There is a lot more to this pieced back--I'm just showing you a corner. Kelly @ My Quilt Infatuation has a new book coming out in June called Perfectly Pieced Quilt Backs. She has asked a number of us to post photos of our quilt backs based on the book, when her book is released. Watch for the full back version in June!

Since my quilt is a 2-color quilt, Gudrun suggests adding an accent color in the center. I used this coral colored Japanese print!⤵️

The virtual class includes both quilt patterns in PDF, 6 teaching videos and a private Facebook group where you can post questions and see what others have made with these two patterns! Gudrun says she'll be offering more 2-pack classes in the future. You can find this class here, GE Class Pack Volume 1. I recommend it!!!
