Vicki picked "Floral Garden" for her baby animals panel quilt on
February 4th. This time she requested "Floral Garden" once more, but 33% smaller. I can do that with my computerized longarm and I think it came out super cute in this petite size!
Sweet backing! ⤵️ These are all Lewis & Irene prints, front and back, with Highland Cows and other animals tossed in.

The fox quilt is just so cute, perfect for a new grandchild! Is it hard to machine quilt mini quilts? The design is perfect, happy stitching!

ReplyDeleteAll beautiful quilts, and so fun to see the prints and your quilting up close! And such a sweet mini quilt for your display stand, too. What I loved the most was reading that you and Lynn had a cutting out day together. That would make cutting out (which otherwise can be really boring!) so much more fun!
ReplyDeleteOh I oohed and sewed, over the foxy quilt. Our daughter is a fox lover too. She is however too old for anymore grandchildren..(62 this Dec) . But it’s a pretty one for a single grandma, don’t you think? I going to have to see if I can make it happen.
ReplyDeleteAll are nice, but I spent the most time on the Shadow Dancer pattern. It looks so nice and simple, and I was calculating how many more 10” squares it would take to enlarge it! Also, I like the beautiful, rich green.

ReplyDeleteSue’s Fancy Fox/Kimberly is just perfect and Love Fluff is just the right pantograph for it. The block combo worked out really well. I just found out a grandniece or nephew is in the works again, so I need a new EH pattern! Susan’s Shadow Dancer is so Irish…just perfect for St. Patrick’s Day and of course, it did require shamrocks to be quilted. Love the pinwheel quilt from Vicki and it is fun to shrink down a panto to make it different. It looks great. I recognized Koby as soon as I saw it. Lynn’s quilt looks a little different…the light? Your wonderful quilt with Abloom is just so adorable and I love that you used Love Fluff to quilt it, too. Perfect!

ReplyDeleteNancy, I took time to read through several of your blog posts, and you make life beautiful. Your quilting for others and yourself is inspiring. You’re in my thoughts and prayers as you adjust to life after the heaven-going of your mom and husband. God bless you and keep you in his care.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind, encouraging words. It's been difficult. We didn't expect my husband to pass away at that time--the doctors, and therefore I, thought he would get a heart transplant and live another 10-12 years. But we don't get to choose our last day, God does. I am going to a group/course called "GriefShare" right now and that has been helpful, knowing others have/are going through the same things. This I know, God is with me.
DeleteWhat a wonderful show and tell today. Your Love Fluff design is very versatile. It looks great on both quilts. All the quilts are very inspirational. I particularly like the fox quilt -- my daughter and I used the same fox pattern for my grandson's (her nephew's) baby quilt. EH does such great patterns. She has made many of them. They are a bit too much for me now...I like basics these days. Did you get all of these quilts done this past week? Glad to hear you've joined a group with others who are going through what you are. Keep being strong.

ReplyDeleteI like the fox faces all in the quilt together. I have also made this pattern but as cushions for our grandson.
The greens in the VRD look lovely.
The pinwheel baby quilt is gorgeous in those colours and the second Koby quilt is stunning, too.
