Kimberly, Shadow Dancer, Koby, and more

I have 5 quilts to share this week, and one of them may look familiar if you read my last post.
Quilt Info #1:
Maker: Sue
Pattern: Fancy Fox from Elizabeth Hartman and Kimberly from GE Designs
Size: 43" x 43"
Batting: Quilters Dream Request 100% Cotton
Thread: Glide--Blushing Apricot
Pantograph: Love Fluff ⤵️ from Sew Shabby Pantos
Sue asked me to quilt this for her first grandchild, just born. Of course it needed hearts! This "Love Fluff" panto is adorable! I can see using it on a lot of baby quilts.
Sue's daughter loves foxes so Sue combined the Fancy Fox quilt pattern with the Kimberly quilt pattern! Clever way to add impact!
So sweet, just like that newborn granddaughter!!!
Quilt Info #2:
Maker: Susan
Pattern: Shadow Dancer from Villa Rosa Designs
Size: 45" x 63"
Batting: Warm & White
Thread: Glide--Irish Spring
Pantograph: Shamrocks ⤵️ from Intelligent Quilting
"Shamrocks" quilting is perfect for this quilt!
Pieced backing ⤵️
Susan always wanted a St. Patrick's Day quilt--now she has one!!!
Quilt Info #3:
Maker: Vicki
Size: 36" x 37"
Batting: Quilters Dream 100% Cotton
Thread: Glide--Cotton Candy
Pantograph: Floral Garden ⤵️ from Karlee Porter
Vicki picked "Floral Garden" for her baby animals panel quilt on February 4th. This time she requested "Floral Garden" once more, but 33% smaller. I can do that with my computerized longarm and I think it came out super cute in this petite size!
Sweet backing! ⤵️ These are all Lewis & Irene prints, front and back, with Highland Cows and other animals tossed in.
Sweet pinwheel baby quilt!!!
Quilt Info #4:
Maker: Lynn
Pattern: Koby from GE Designs
Size: 85" x 91"
Batting: Quilters Dream Wool
Thread: Glide--Light Turquoise
Pantograph: Skating ⤵️ from Lovely Stitches
Here's my favorite quilting design, "Skating"!
Okay, this is the quilt that may look familiar if you read my blog last week. Last week I shared my flannel Koby quilt. This week I'm sharing Lynn's flannel Koby quilt! Lynn and I got together with the same fabrics and had a "cutting out" day. Then went home to sew.
We do have different backings--Lynn pieced together these pretty flannels for backing. ⤵️
The fabrics are all the same. The fabric placements are different. The look is basically the same! It was fun to sew along with you, Lynn!!!
Quilt Info #5:
Maker: Me
Fabrics: Abloom from Corey Yoder of Coriander Quilts for Moda Fabrics
Size: 8" x 9"
Batting: Quilters Dream Poly
Thread: Glide--Chestnut
Pantograph: Love Fluff ⤵️ from Sew Shabby Pantos
This is my one personal quilt in the bunch and it is a mini mini at 8" x 9". I used a mini charm pack, picked 30 squares from the stack and cut them down to 2" squares. (I hate those linty pinked edges!) Five across by 6 down makes the perfect size mini for my mini quilt stand.
I had a small piece of Tula Pink that I used for the backing. ⤴️ Peach binding and hanging sleeve.
This is my mini quilt stand! ⤵️ And I couldn't resist using the "Love Fluff" panto again!
Last review, all five quilts! ⤵️

  1. The fox quilt is just so cute, perfect for a new grandchild! Is it hard to machine quilt mini quilts? The design is perfect, happy stitching!

  9. All beautiful quilts, and so fun to see the prints and your quilting up close! And such a sweet mini quilt for your display stand, too. What I loved the most was reading that you and Lynn had a cutting out day together. That would make cutting out (which otherwise can be really boring!) so much more fun!

  10. Oh I oohed and sewed, over the foxy quilt. Our daughter is a fox lover too. She is however too old for anymore grandchildren..(62 this Dec) . But it’s a pretty one for a single grandma, don’t you think? I going to have to see if I can make it happen.

  11. All are nice, but I spent the most time on the Shadow Dancer pattern. It looks so nice and simple, and I was calculating how many more 10” squares it would take to enlarge it! Also, I like the beautiful, rich green.

  12. The foxes are so cute! I know its a baby quilt, but I would use it! The mini is a fun little project...easy to make and great for display! :)

  13. The foxes are cute! Your mini is wonderful. The quilting looks like it was pressed into place it is so consistent within the block. Beautiful quilting patterns for each of the quilts. You are a master of the right panto for the top!--TerryK@OnGoingProjects

  14. Sue’s Fancy Fox/Kimberly is just perfect and Love Fluff is just the right pantograph for it. The block combo worked out really well. I just found out a grandniece or nephew is in the works again, so I need a new EH pattern! Susan’s Shadow Dancer is so Irish…just perfect for St. Patrick’s Day and of course, it did require shamrocks to be quilted. Love the pinwheel quilt from Vicki and it is fun to shrink down a panto to make it different. It looks great. I recognized Koby as soon as I saw it. Lynn’s quilt looks a little different…the light? Your wonderful quilt with Abloom is just so adorable and I love that you used Love Fluff to quilt it, too. Perfect!

  16. Nancy, I took time to read through several of your blog posts, and you make life beautiful. Your quilting for others and yourself is inspiring. You’re in my thoughts and prayers as you adjust to life after the heaven-going of your mom and husband. God bless you and keep you in his care.

    1. Thank you for your kind, encouraging words. It's been difficult. We didn't expect my husband to pass away at that time--the doctors, and therefore I, thought he would get a heart transplant and live another 10-12 years. But we don't get to choose our last day, God does. I am going to a group/course called "GriefShare" right now and that has been helpful, knowing others have/are going through the same things. This I know, God is with me.

  17. What a wonderful show and tell today. Your Love Fluff design is very versatile. It looks great on both quilts. All the quilts are very inspirational. I particularly like the fox quilt -- my daughter and I used the same fox pattern for my grandson's (her nephew's) baby quilt. EH does such great patterns. She has made many of them. They are a bit too much for me now...I like basics these days. Did you get all of these quilts done this past week? Glad to hear you've joined a group with others who are going through what you are. Keep being strong.

  21. Your own mini quilt is adorable, especially with that panto. Your customers must always be thrilled when they get their quilts back from you because you choose such perfect quilting designs for each of them.

  22. You have had a busy time with your quilting.
I like the fox faces all in the quilt together. I have also made this pattern but as cushions for our grandson.
The greens in the VRD look lovely.
The pinwheel baby quilt is gorgeous in those colours and the second Koby quilt is stunning, too.
Lovely little mini. I really like the way the panto you chose picks out the small blocks.
    Lovely work all round.

  23. Oh Nancy, you know how to make quilts look fabulous and show them off to their best advantage! The Love Fluff pattern is so cute, and it looks very pretty with your mini too. Your Koby quilts are both beautiful, wow fun to cut all the fabrics together! I love the "cutting out" day concept ;) Thank you so much for sharing and linking up!
