Six more baby quilts this week!!!
Pattern: Honey Bouquet from Villa Rosa Designs
Size: 36" x 45"
Batting: Quilters Dream 100% Cotton

The "hero print" on this quilt is the multi-colored sea urchin print, ⤴️ top row, right-hand side--I'm not sure those are sea urchins but it's my best guess.
I'm majoring in flannel backing for baby quilts recently. ⤴️

I was able to work through these this week as I had all the tops sewn together since last fall. I've worked through all the pieced tops now, so from here on I'll be working from start to finish.
Which quilt or quilting is your favorite?!
Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

I always like patchwork quilts, a good way to use fabric! I like them all and all the quilting designs compliment the patchwork. Happy stitching!
ReplyDeleteYour baby quilts are always so fun to see, Nancy! I love this month's batch with pops of red here and there. And the purple one 💜💜💜! My favorite quilting design that you used is the diagonal plaid.
ReplyDeleteYou had a busy week. Nice that you had them all pieced but at the same time nice that you demolished that pile!! Of course the purple one is my favorite:)
ReplyDeletenice quilting. Patchwork always works
ReplyDeleteWow, you've been a quilting machine!! I think my fav is the 99 Charms because the fabrics are so darling. But the red & blue with the letter fabrics is super cute as well. OK, they are all cute and 6 in one week is impressive.
ReplyDeleteI am torn between 99 charms and the Purple one! I love diagonal plaid as a pantograph and love fluff, too!
ReplyDeleteYou do a great job putting fabrics and colors together fot these small patchwork quilts. I lobe the ones with red and the buffalo plaid backing is perfect. But the purple one with Love Fluff quilting is splendid.
ReplyDeleteForgive my fat fingers above. I LOVE the ones with red.
DeleteI'm always impressed with your baby quilts, well done!
ReplyDeleteWow, that’s a lot of quilts—especially with the binding included! I really like the flannel backing fabric that has the little forest animals on it. It’s so sweet!
ReplyDeleteWell guess what. They are all my favorites! At first I thought the first one was my favorite - the quilting and colors really caught my eye - then Bear Paw was briefly the winner. Then the color combo on #3 was it, but here comes the red, green, and gold - beautiful. I spied some of my favorite PB&J alphabet fabric on #3, but then I saw the purple/blue one - wow! And the last one I loved too with those colors. So they are all winners in my book.
ReplyDeleteWell well, I must say I agree with Linda ;)) They are all my favorites as they appear, it's all about Oooooh and Aaaaah, both for the quilts and the quilting! There are cute baby quilts, and if you really want me to choose, I would say Honey Bouquet and Arrowheads work very well together! Thank you so much for sharing your pretty projects and linking up!
ReplyDeleteYou will make the babies happy and the caretakers as well!
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, but you have been busy! I have yet to make ONE quilt this year. Guess that's what comes of being distracted by other activities and projects. I'm happy for you to have enjoyed making these, using stash, and quilting them so beautifully. Great efforts!
ReplyDeleteFirst, congrats on finishing six WONderful quilts. I love the Arrowheads quilting pattern. It caught my eye before the quilt did, lol. Diagonal Plaid adds a secondary pattern to the quilt which I love. I agree with you; Love Puff is a darling. So, I guess I don't know which one I love but I do know that you did an excellent job here. Enjoy! ;^)
ReplyDeleteThat's so funny to see Honey Bouquet made up because just this week a neighbor and I were talking about making donation quilts with that exact pattern. Your scrappy quilts make us see it's a perfect, quick and happy way to create donation quilts. Fun, fun!
ReplyDeleteWow! Another wonderful collection of baby quilts. You have been so busy.
ReplyDeleteThat VRD works so well. I have the pattern and really must use it.
You have managed to use up a lot of fabric, too. Love those backings.
I can't choose a favourite quilting design. They are all great and you select so well to work with the designs.
First off -- congrats on finishing the to-be-quilted pile. They all are so attractive... like everyone else it's hard to choose a favorite. I spent some time really looking at your quilts. It dawned on me that you use a lot of different fabrics in these Honey Bouquet quilts. I've been trying to decide on fabric for one but I've had an epiphany. Use lots of go with fabrics to make a great top. I've got a couple of pieces of fabric that I can just find go withs and be able to use my Honey Bouquet pattern. Thanks for sharing all of these.
ReplyDeleteA favorite? You have to be kidding me!! I did like the texture that the diagonal plaid quilt panto gave to the top which I didn't expect as I'm more partial to motifs that contain curves!--TerryK@OnGoingProjects
ReplyDeleteWell these couldn't be any sweeter. They are all gorgeous and I certainly cannot chose a favorite. Beautiful job, Nancy. I wish you a lovely week. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilting. I do love that little bear paw design. Some little one is going to love it too!
ReplyDeleteOh my - you are really on a roll. Love that flannel backing with the critters. You must have used up all the fabric in your stash lately with so many baby quilts. Wow!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful work on those baby quilts! You're a machine!( quilting! haha)
ReplyDeleteAnother great collection of baby quilts. What a wonderful job you are doing for Bundles of Love. Wednesday, March 4th

WOW!!! 6 quilts as a finish!!! That's awesome! It's hard to choose a favourite ... but I must admit, I like the hearts in one of the pantos! Thank you for linking to TGIFF!
ReplyDeleteI think I bought that pattern when you showed it before! Wow, you've been busy and all of these are so cute! I'm a big fan of cuddly flannel backs for any kind of quilt. I can't say I have a favorite, I like all of them and each suits the quilt they are on well. You said the fabric and the stitch pattern are both Tula. Is the stitch pattern a purchased one or did you design it out in your LA software?
ReplyDeleteThese are all great, Nancy! It's hard to choose a favorite, but as I love purple...I'll say THAT one! LOL I really love that arrowhead panto from OESD. It's so cool how it mimics the pattern in the mint fabric. I think of you often. Hope you are doing as well as you can. Thanks for sharing with us at Monday Musings. Have a great weekend and upcoming week!
ReplyDeleteYou are on a roll with these quilts - so much fun!
