The Rainbow Scrap Challenge color for March is Red. My main RSC goal this year is to whittle down my stack of 5" charm squares by turning them into baby quilts, 9 squares across by 11 squares down, therefore "99 Charms" quilts. Here are the two I made for March.

ReplyDeleteThose are so sweet, Nancy! So much to look at in them. There's the Eiffel Tower again, and I love the strawberries! Did you cut these yourself or just accumulate them from charm packs over the years? I have leftover charm squares, too, but they're the ugly ones, lol!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to use charm squares, and red... neither of which I have in my stash. Ha, ha. That's a very good reason for me not to participate in the Rainbow Scrap Challenge. I find it challenging enough to try to use what I already have in my stash. :-) Love that you've made these to give away. The flannel backing is perfect for a baby. Cute pantos too. I especially like the teardrop one which has a mid century modern vibe to it.

Adorable baby quilts and looks so easy and fun to do. I may plan this "99" baby quilt down the road to use up my stash. I have been cutting leftovers into 5" charms (or 2 1/2" charms when too small.) Love the macaron design!

While it is chaotic... and I have not found a way to store and use them well ... my scrap bins might actually contain enough scraps for ONE baby charm square quilt over the full rainbow of color ;) xo
