I have four inspiring client quilt to share today!
Quilt Info #1:
Maker: Lynn
Pattern: Dina from GE Designs
Size: 57" x 75"
Batting: Quilters Dream 100% Cotton Request
Thread: Glide--Basil
Lynn made this for her friend, who was quite involved in the making of this quilt. Her friend picked out this quilt pattern from the 17 patterns in the Stripology Quickies book. Next she picked out the color palate from Lynn's collection. After Lynn made the blocks, her friend came over and arranged them all on the design wall, and Lynn did the final piecing.
Her friend wanted swirly quilting. The green in this quilt and on the Minky backing reminded me of ferns, so I used the "New Zealand Koru" quilting. Koru is the Maori word meaning coil, and is symbolized as an unfurling fern frond. (The minky looks turquoise here ⤴️ but it is more sage.)
A very cuddly, cute quilt!
Quilt Info #2:
Maker: Lori
Size: 40" x 40"
Batting: Fairfield 80/20
Thread: Glide--Cream
Lori has a tradition of making a baby quilt and a matching larger quilt for each grandchild. That way, when they outgrow their baby quilt they will have a familiar quilt for their first big bed. The larger quilt will be quilted later this month.
Lori picked this floral quilting, "Baby Blue Eyes" to go with the floral theme. Sweet!
Quilt Info #3:
Maker: Susan
Pattern: Suite Times from Easy Peasy 3-Yard Quilts by Fabric Cafe
Size: 49" x 62"
Batting: Warm & Natural
Thread: Glide--Black
Susan picked this green polar fleece for backing. The quilting shows up amazingly on polar fleece!
This pattern is from a 3-yard quilt book by Fabric Cafe.
Quilt Info #4:
Maker: Susan
Size: 60" x 84"
Batting: Warm & Natural
Thread: Glide--Marlin
For backing, Susan found some "cow hide" flannel in black and white. It's not brown and white, but it definitely works!
This makes snuggly quilt number 4!
Here's all four of them. Nice job quilters!!!
Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy
