With the 250th anniversary of the USA coming up, I wanted a new patriotic quilt for my front door. This one is quick and made from 2 1/2" strips. The pattern is for a baby, throw or bed size quilt. I simply made one block.

Nice finishes Nancy! I love the 80 Acres pattern, and your patriotic colors look wonderful. Susan's pinks are adorable! When your daughter arranges quilts, do you have a gigantic wall they stay up on, or do you take them down in row and block order, or take pictures, or what?
ReplyDeleteI have 2 covered insulation boards side by side for a design wall.. DD2 works on one, and I’m on the other marking the rows (I used numbered pins) and stacking them carefully in order. By the time I finish, she’s about done and we switch design walls. I don’t take photos—last time she did 17! They all came out correctly.

ReplyDeleteOh, you have the perfect spot to display a small seasonal quilt! I can’t figure out why the quilt pattern is called 80 Acres, but it’s cute and festive! The baby quilts are nice too!

I like the way the woven quilt pattern works so well with a small number of fabrics. That is another lovely finish.
