Rainbow Quilt 🌈

This is Sally's first quilt! Isn't the rainbow grading beautiful?!

It was quite an undertaking for a new quilter, at 94" X 103".

These are actually not half-square triangles, but rectangular triangles.

The quilting is called "Matrix", a crazy scattering of triangles.

The thread color is light turquoise--more visible on the black extra-wide backing.

Beautiful quilt, Sally!!! Great job!

Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

  1. Beautiful! A first quilt? Wow. She seems to have great color sense, too! The quilting is such a beautiful geometric design and complements the triangles well!

  2. She did an awesome job on her first(very ambitious) quilt. Love how you quilted it-panto?

  3. I'm amazed at the skill of these first time quilters! Well done!

  4. Wow!! That's HUGE for a first time quilter. It turned out SEW well... including the quilting. Wish My 1st quilt was that good!

  5. Ambitious project for a first time quilter but it appears she has training as a maker of some sort. I love the background color that was chosen too.

  6. Wow! Sally is really off and running! I love the Matrix motif on this one.

  7. Wow, that's pretty cool. Points look great for a first quilt. Lovely quilting!

  8. Beautiful quilt! I like the colors used, and your quilting choice seems perfect to me. Thanks for pointing out that it's rectangles. I didn't notice until you said so!

    1. Yes, I didn't notice that it was entirely rectangles as first either! Not until I went to put it up on my blog. Thanks for stopping by, Susan!

  9. Wow! Beautiful work for ANY quilter! Love the gradation of color and the various black strips.
