My sister, Quilter Bonnie, made this adorable Christmas throw from a "BasicGrey" jelly roll. Don't you love the mint green in this?!!
I quilted it with "Just Curls", and Glide thread in gold:
Here's a close-up of the construction:
The backing is an extra-wide backing from Connecting Threads.
Beautiful quilt, Bon! Just in time to use for the Christmas season.
Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

Perfect timing on both you and your sisters part. I love quilts that don't scream Christmas but are Christmas-this one is perfect for that.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a happy quilt, and perfect for snuggling under while watching a movie. Nice finish!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Vicki, this one is just Christmas enough without being too much. I think it must be the mint green that makes it fresh! Great job by both sisters :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I don't usually like Christmas colors ... but I like this one! I'm not sure how she managed it, but it's Christmas without being too Christmas. Gold thread is perfect touch!
ReplyDeleteThere's something about mint and me this year, so I am partial to the fabrics in this quilt as well as the jelly roll pattern. Such a pretty quilt and finished in time for the holiday. Your sister is very lucky to have a longarm quilter in the family.
ReplyDeleteI am lucky to have a sister who is an awesome longarm quilter! I love my quilt. Thanks!

You are such a talented lady! I love those swirls and curls! The quilt is so pretty - those colors are fun! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteGreat quilting pattern choice for that lovely quilt. Thanks for sharing with Oh Scrap!
ReplyDeleteOh my! This one is great! I made a jelly roll quilt and I am not in love with it. But Bonnie's is just "yummy!
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy,
ReplyDeleteYour sister did a beautiful job on this quilt, and you did a beautiful job quilting it. The pattern and thread color you chose compliment that fabrics and pattern without overpowering it. It looks so nice and warm and comfy. Very snuggly. ~smile~ Roseanne
Definitely love the mint green - it caught my eye in the thumbnail. Thanks for sharing on Midweek Makers 100!
ReplyDeleteI love it! I'm not really a fan of the traditional Christmas green and red, so the minty green in this really makes it for me.
