Here are the four quadrants:
And that tiger! It was part of his brother's favorite swim trunks!
The backing is batik. This is a gift for her son's 18th birthday on February 6, 2018.
In addition, I made two pillowcases to go with the quilt, made out of the backing and binding fabrics:

Now that is quite the t-shirt quilt! What a collection of shirts ( and a little shorts)! Is it really heavy? You did some great quilting on it, Nancy!
ReplyDeleteGreat job with all the different quilting! I'll bet that was fun to do :) Matching pillowcases is such a nice idea, too.
ReplyDeleteDeb did wonderful to fit all those together! But I really enjoyed seeing all the different designs you quilted.
ReplyDeleteAmazing assembly of all the sizes and motifs. Loved your quilting designs.
ReplyDeleteDeb did a wonderful job on her t-shirt quilt, and you brought it to life with your quilting. It looks fantastic! Did you change thread colors throughout, or use one color?
ReplyDeleteI used a medium grey throughout the entire quilt.
DeleteMaking matching pillowcases is a GREAT idea!! Awesome job (both of you!)
ReplyDeleteGreat collection and great quilt I have at least two of these in my future...one for my son and one for my best friend's husband. Both will be fun but a lot of work!!
