Here are my first four, made for summer, autumn, Christmas and winter:
I love how this pattern looks like a barn quilt, but it is made of fabric! The original pattern finishes at 36" square, but I've downsized it to 24" square so it fits our front door.
This quilt started out as a kit for a table runner! My cousin and I both bought the kit at the Red Wing quilt show, held in a green house in February. My quilting cousin made hers up immediately and entered it in our quilt show. How cute is this?!:
As much as I love that table runner, I needed a spring quilt for my front door and thought these fabrics would look great. I was able to use most of the kit except some 2" strips I have leftover. Also, I had to sub in a fabric for the center square of my quilt.
For quilting, I had the "Feathered Frond" design that I used on Missy's quilt still laid out on my longarm and thought it would look good on this one, also, being a denser pattern.
I used some leftover extra wide backing fabric for the back. The quilting shows up great:
There were just enough 2 1/2" strips in the kit to do a scrappy binding. Here's my label:
