🌾Meadowland 🌾Number 2--Rainbow Colors!

"This is the pattern that no one makes just once." ~Meghan of Then Came June, about her Meadowland quilt pattern. I couldn't make just one! Here's my second Meadowland quilt:

Meadowland is the hottest quilt pattern in the quilt world right now. Meghan, attributes it's success to the following points:

~it's fat quarter friendly, or half-yards or scraps
~it's a mix-and-match pattern--all fabrics are equal and evenly distributed
~no sashing, no borders
~large blocks (16") = more focus on the fabrics and faster finish

Quilt Info:
Pattern: Meadowland by Then Came June
Size: 96" X 96"
Batting: Quilter's Dream Batting, Wool
Thread: Glide, White
Quilting: Random Clams
Interesting Facts: ~I did a scrappy rainbow binding
~listen to Meghan talk about her Meadowland quilt pattern on the American Patchwork & Quilting podcast, here. It starts at 19:27.

You can see my first Meadowland quilt here. And yes, there will be a third and fourth Meadowland in my future! This pattern is too much quilt fun! If you haven't made one yet, jump on the wagon!!!

Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy

  12. What a great design! It would work well as a block swap or group quilt, too. (I'm curious about the "hottest pattern" statement, though: is that based on purchases?)

    1. Meghan released Meadowland last year in June and it is already her best selling pattern. She hosted a Sew Along last spring and 3,000+ quilters participated, making 4,000+ quilts! That's because a lot of the participants made 2, 3 and some even 4 different versions. She said in the podcast that her followers requested another SAL next spring, and she's leaning toward doing it again. You can see many Meadowland quilts on Instagram, #MeadowlandQuilt, and on Pinterest. Also, the interviewer on the podcast I linked is a longarm quilter and she said it's by far her most commonly quilted client quilt, so much so that she's lost track of how many she's quilted.

  13. Beauty! I love this quilt in all its versions--I bought the pattern too, and plan a Christmas version. Another favorite pattern of hers is Sidewalk Chalk.

  14. Boy that pattern checks off a lot of boxes. This one looks fabulous. And wow! a 16" block seems like a brilliant way to get a quilt made fairly quickly. Question: Is Random Clams a pantograph? I like how it looks and might want to add it to my computerized machine if it is available that way.
