Interesting Info: Kyle is one of my co-workers at our LQS. Pearl Louise Designs is a quilt designer out of Rapid City, Kyle's hometown and has been designing quilt patterns and embroideries for many years.
Kyle bought her fabrics at the quilt shop we both work at. Our shop carried just the turquoise, navy, green and white prints in the Moda fabric line called All Weather Friend.
This beautiful digitally printed extra-wide backing also came from our LQS!⤵️
Beautiful finish, Kyle!!! What a great fat quarter quilt design!!!
Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy
Oh wow that is a beautiful quilt, of course it is one of my favorite colors!
ReplyDeleteNice combination of colors in the quilt, and the backing is very pretty. Of course, your quilting finishes the quilt beautifully! Nice work, you two!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt - I love the color scheme!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty finish! I have a question for you ... Do you have a particular philosophy when it comes to the thread color for quilting? I tend to go with the lowest value in a project for my thread color and am always pleasantly surprised when quilters go with something else. For me, aqua would be walking on the wild side!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great combination of colors!! it is so pretty!!!
ReplyDeleteOooo, I love that Harbour Wave design! Perfect for the colors in that quilt--when I saw it, it reminded me of the beach. Thanks for linking up to TGIFF!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a fun pattern, Nancy. LOVE your quilting design, too!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous quilt and the quilting is amazing. It gives it so much movement. Love it. Happy quilting.
ReplyDeleteYummy colors and beautiful quilting!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun to see a Pearl Louise Designs pattern! I grew up in Rapid City too! I used to love to go to her shop! I always found something to purchase! Great job Kyle! The quilting is super too, Nancy! I think the aqua thread was a great choice!
ReplyDeleteLovely fabrics again. Too many temptations when working in a quilt store!!
ReplyDeleteLovely finished FQ quilt and the Harbor Waves pattern for the quilting is delightful. Did you have any issues with the digitally printed backing fabric? I know I remember hearing grumbling from other quilters about them, but I don't remember exactly what they didn't like about them.
ReplyDeleteKudos to Kyle for a lovely finish, and that backing is to die for. Beautifully quilted, as usual.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty quilt! Love your quilting choice for it--simply perfect! Thanks for sharing on Wednesday Wait Loss.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely quilt. I so need a sewing room with all the windows and light you have. Thank you for linking up to Put your foot down.
