Our granddaughter had her first birthday!!! She and I are birthday twins, which is super fun!
Our daughter planned her party with a llama and cactus theme! Here are a few things I made for our granddaughter's first birthday!!!
Quilt Info:
Pattern: Circle Time Quilt by Pretty Little Quilts
Size: 56" X 56"
Batting: Quilters Dream Poly
Thread: Glide--Cream
Quilting: Two Simple ⤵️ from Intelligent Quilting
Circle Time quilt is a play mat in the Montessori style of learning, complete with numbered bean bags that match the colors and numbers on the quilt. I used crushed walnut shells to fill the bean bags, which can be purchased at pet shops.
The backing and binding are both primary colored, fun prints!!! ⤵️
I made a Saguaro cactus pillow from textured Minkee and a free pattern found on YouTube, by Dana of madeeveryday.com. ⤵️
I also made a llama in keeping with the birthday theme of cactus and llama! The pattern is Lulu Llama from Gingercake. ⤵️ The trickiest part was embroidering the eyes, which is the very last thing to do on the pattern!

I made these three bibs using bandanas from Japan and washcloths. ⤵️ These bibs can grow with the child and keep Sunday best clothes clean when there's a messy meal.
And for those of you who have little ones at home, your own or grandchildren, here's a neat item that helps toddlers reach counter height--an adjustable step stool with safety rails! ⤵️
Here are a couple photos from the party!!!
It was a beautiful day for a party and a lot of fun, fun, fun!!!
Grace and peace!!! ~Nancy
