ReplyDeleteWhat a clever idea using stripes to make beach cabanas. Sunny did a great job. Fabric in a hair salon? Haha. Nice jobo n the quilting, too, Nancy!
ReplyDeleteThe stripes do make the cabanas look like cabanas! Awesome!
ReplyDeleteI love the placement of colors in this quilt. The eye travels to those solids so you get to survey the entire quilt. And the quilt pattern is spot on! Fun all the way around!
ReplyDeleteI love the striped cabanas! And I love the clamshell with the the interesting outline fill - a great choice for this quilt.
ReplyDeleteToo cute!
ReplyDeleteVery bright and sunny indeed!
ReplyDeleteThey could be pencils, or arrows or little homes but one thing is certain - they are lovely!!!!
ReplyDeleteLovely quilt. Sashiko looks great on it. I love the backing. I have a couple of international fabric -- I'm going to think about using one or two as backings. Thanks for the idea. (and thank Sunny too!)
ReplyDeleteI have not seen the houses with stripes before. Doesn't that work really well. And the backing is delightful!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great quilt! The fabrics, houses, and Sashiko quilting are so fun together. Great job, both of you, and thanks for linking up with me for TGIFF this week!
ReplyDeleteSo cool and graphic! You chose a great panto to quilt it with. Thanks for sharing on Wednesday Wait Loss.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great use of stripes! Your little houses remind me of those dressing room/changing tents on the beach in old movies!
