Atlas🌐SAL

Quilt Info:
Maker: Me!!!
Pattern: Atlas from Outdoor Quilter
Size: 36" X 44"
Batting: Quilters Dream 80/20
Thread: Glide--Linen
Pantograph: Totally Tubular 2 ⤵️ from Simply Fabulous Quilting
Interesting Info: I won the pattern and templates for this quilt pattern, Atlas, on an Instagram drawing in 2020. When I saw Kit, AKA Outdoor Quilter, was leading a sew-along late in 2021, I was all in!!! She led us through six weeks of tips and tricks for making the Atlas quilt, with her notes recorded on her blog.

In case you're wondering, the blocks are all identical--hexagons with a stripe through the middle and two curved pieces on opposites sides. I made 24 blocks for this baby size quilt!!! ⤵️
There are a multitudes of possible layouts for this quilt!!! I put 9 different layouts on Instagram and took votes! I ended up going with layout #1, which was one of the top winners!!!
Here is my finished Atlas quilt, all quilted up!!! ⤵️
I found this Kaffe Fassett print called "Amaze" for the backing!!! ⤵️
Wow, what a super fun quilt!!!
Kit has a brand new pattern out called Calypso, using the same templates as the Atlas quilt. It looks just as interesting and fun, with multiple layout options again!!! Check it out!!!

One last full view of my Atlas quilt, before I mail it off to a newborn baby boy:
